Called my senior-aged dad 3 times. Asked about diabetic, then asked specifically, by his name, about an inhaler he used. Asked for his medicare number or SS number-  he did not give, thank goodness.
Who ARE these nuts???

i got a call from them too, they said if i could get two people to sign up with them that had diabetes and good insuance they would be able to provide me with my supplies for free since i dont have any health insuance. does anyone know if this is legit or a scam? please email me at goatmuss@gmail.com if you have any idea. thanks.

also the lady that i talked to gave me a contact... if anyone is interested in looking it up it was a toll free number with ext.

I did not receive a call from 646-808-3695, but I DID receive a call, just yesterday, from Sonia at 866-458-0719, x 8003. She said that she was calling from "Christian Diabetes" and she said that they could provide my insulin and infusion sets (for my insulin pump) for free...but that I had to give her my insurance ID number so that their staff could call my insurance company and verify my benefits and see if Christian Diabetes could help me.

I told her that it all sounded great, but that she was the one who contacted me, and therefore I wasn't about to give her any information on the phone, particularly without having something in writing that would verify everything she was telling me. She said that could send me a brochure, but that it was "very general" and wouldn't give a lot of details. (Interestingly, she never offered during the course of the conversation to ask for my home address so that she could send this brochure to me.)

I then asked if there was a website for her organization so that I could check out what she was saying, and she gave me this address: www.discountdiabeticsupplies.com.

If you try to go to that address, here's the message you'll get:

"THIS ACCOUNT HAS BEEN SUSPENDED"

There is, however, a site that looks legit, and it is www.diabeticsupplies.com

This site shows a different toll-free number: 877-787-7543

I am paying exorbitant amounts of money for my private insurance and my diabetes supplies, but I'm still very wary about giving up any personal information whatsoever to people who call me out of the blue.

I'm also a little puzzled by the fact that Sonia identified herself as calling from "Christian Diabetes," and yet if you Google that name, you can't find anything that matches up.

Caveat emptor!

Called to say they needed more info so they could send a "free" meter for my husband (a diabetic).  Tried to convince me he responded to an email that he wanted it.  He said he did not.
