Said they had a warrant out for my arrest...call before any legal action was taken.  How can these people get away with this? Some little old people would be scared to death with a call like this.

Left a voicemail saying there "were serious allegations against me" and I needs to call them immediately or local law enforcement would come after me

Same thing-warrant for my arrest. I reported it to the IRS

"Serious legal action" about my taxes. Threatened to 'call the cops' (exact wording by the way - who says 'cops' when trying to act official?). Complete scam - don't fall for it. The IRS never calls you.

This is the message they left "Regarding your tax filings from the headquarters which will get expired in the next 24 working hours and once it get expired after that you will be taken under custody by the local cops as there are four serious allegations pressed on your name at this moment.  We would request you to get back to us so that we can discuss about this case before taking any legal action against you.  The number to reach us at is (646) 809-9687.  Thank you."

Seriously?  No official government organization is going to refer to itself as "the headquarters" nor are they going to threaten using "local cops" in a badly worded voicemail.

This is a SCAM.  Don't believe any of it.

Another (ahem) IRS scam. I am getting at least one per day. I keep blocking them, but they spoof another number. Grrrrr...

They arrested a whole group of these folks in Florida in about the last 6 months, and these guys are probably going to be next. I called them back. The guy had a deep South Asian accent. Lock'em up!

I got the same call about 10 minutes ago.

Slimebags in robot recording state as those mentioned. The [***] making these calls should be picked up by the Feds for scamming across state lines via mobile devices.  I am sending their number to my attornies and we will pursue civil and criminal action.

MAYBE THE IRS IS OUTSOURCING COLLECTIONS TO A FOREIGN NATION?

Same message - I called them back, the guy that answered had a strong accent, and I started in a very annoyed voice about the message I got.  The guy hung up on me, then I called about 4 more times and he hung up every time.  Pretty sure they're hoping for vulnerable people to call them so they can scam :(

I got a message from them and called them back to mess with them. I said I was just a little girl and I was so nervous. He told me to go F--- myself and that I was a Gold Digga because I f--- for money. Really classy criminals... have fun in jail.

Got same message from same number ... at 6:45 on a Friday night.  IRS my ass!  I don't owe a dime ... I pay my taxes!

Repeated calls saying that there is a warrant for my arrest and if it's not taking care of the local police will come to our house and arrest me.

They've called me a few times now. Recently left this partial message..."Request you to get back to us so that we can discuss about this case before taking any legal action against you the number to reach us at is 646-809-9687 I repeat 646-809-9687 thank you…”
I just deleted the other messages because it's a recording. Horrible that people try to scam others like this.

Received this recorded robocall. It was truncated, since the message started before my voice mail recorded it. Here's the text of the message, verbatim: ". . . under custody by the local cops, as there are four serious allegations pressed on your name at this moment. We would request you to get back to us, so that we can discuss about this case before taking any legal action against you. The number to reach us is 646-809-9687. I repeat 646-809-9687. Thank you." First clue it's a scam is the poor grammar. And, like the other people reporting this number have said, there are enough red flags that any reasonably intelligent person should know it's a scam. Sadly, I'm sure there are many seniors that could be frightened by this, and return the call. I hope the FCC figures out a way to catch these dispicable people and fine them into oblivion.
