I have just purchased a new phone and added it to my contract with Virgin.  Just yesterday I started to get these voicemail calls, and I do not answer or call the number. Is there anything else that can be done?

It is the message to inform you that you have a vocal message in you phone box. To remedy it, you only have to configure your voice mailbox by dialling YOUR mobile phone number and by following the instructions.

I guess I can find a hacker to set up a trojan to this number and see how they enjoy messing with people.

Then why is it saying "not registered on service" when I try to check my voice mail?

I have had this phone with v/M for some time. This is the first time I have not been able to retrieve my messages. Any other suggestions?

This number is from a debt collector.unwanted and unsolicited.

It's Virgin trying to get you to set up your voice mail. Once you do, it will stop.

Stupidly (which is how Virgin works) they give you the LD number in Ontario only - costs $$$$$ if you're elsewhere.

Instead, setup voicemail from another phone or yours by dialing your own mobile phone number.

1.    When you hear your own message hit the # key.
2.   Type in your password and follow the prompts - mainly just say your name.

You can use Skype if you want to call the Ontario number.

If Virgin spent less time BSing you with how cute and 'friendly' they are and put more effort into good customer service they'd be better.

i keep getting messages on my cell phone i do not want them to call again im on the no call list

I called Virgin Mobile to ask if the number belonged to them and they informed me it did not. This number is now blocked on my phone.

I also had the issue...all I had to do is call virgin...they advised me to stay on the line while they call and left a message.  then to check their message, delete it and restart the phone.  That took care of the problem.

I do not want the identoty of this number trying to reach me or anybody I associate via any sort of means.

It's happen to me too, I was in US for vacation, my phone was lock on Airplane Mode, surprisingly this month I had some extra charges on my invoice from this Number 647 383 2333. I try to explain to Virgin ( facturation department) that I did not made any these calls, they were very agressive to push me these charges, I explain them I found this number on internet as well on received calls on my phone and this number belong to them ( in the invoice they hide this call with your tel. number in manner they can say you made this call....) This is something they do to rip you out...... few dollars for the number of customers they have they make millions on fake calls.....  I go often in Europe and with Orange, Vodafone, T-Mobile I spent 5 Euros a month for 1000 minutes national with Free texto and 300 minutes international, 1 Gb data ( now all in Europe Roaming has been cancelled it is meaning calls are treat as local in all Europe). Here you pay an arm and a leg, to have something basic and you are treated as liar  etc..... Unfortunately this is common in in Nord America. I am going to change company, but here in Canada o you are with Bell o Roger, all other companies ( Virgin, Fido etc....) are subsidiary of these two major companies. There is not competition....... Unfortunately we all are simple-minded for them not customers...

I do not wish to receive calls or notes for voice messages from this number. It is SPAM or hacker

Voicemail, pre-recorded (woman's voice with British accent), without calling. Probably debt collection (I have been getting a lot from EOS, though I have no reason to believe that I might owe anyone anything and also have a name so rare in this city that it cannot be mistaken for someone else's). Do not know how these goons got my number, but have blocked every one of theirs.

For days this # shows up indicating new voicemail - but not on my call log nor voicemail- says call 1 647 383 2333 - HOW DO I STOP THIS..

They have called me 105 since March and it's an abbreviated message about nothing!  Sometimes I think it's my children calling and try to get to my phone even when driving and it's these people!  It's dangerous and I am reporting them because it needs to STOP!

Just call block that number ... it is from Bell doing telemarketing.
