get calls from this number did a search and on 411 indicates 'Heavy spam activity suspected' so this number is spoofed from Allstream Inc located in Etobicoke.   I'll just block this one.

I am positive their is a 6 yr statute of limitations, if you pay even a portion it starts again from day 1 on the statute, just wait it out not that their going to stop calling but legally they have no recourse after 6yrs. The owner of the # is Financail Debt Recovery

Some provinces have a 2 year. Others don't specify, so federal law applies.
In the event of a conflict between your province's rules, their province's rules and federal, the stricter of the three applies.

The statute of limitations applies to collection agencies, collection agencies buy debts from big banks then for the next  25 yrs they attempt to get a voluntary from you, once you give even a small amount the account is reactivated so another 6 yrs its held against your credit rating. if they dont file a legal suit against you within 2 yrs they cannot get you into court, dont let them intimidate you by scare tatics just wait it out.

Not many people know that they buy debts from Credit card companies or banks for cheap, cheap that's why anything they can recover is a bonus.

I keep getting a call from a robot at least 15 or more times a day. From early morning until up to 9pm! It's illegal and harassment.  I do not owe any debts so no clue what this number is about. But they got wrong number. I picked up phone there is no way to leave a message I waited until end of robot speech and no option to talk to someone. How I can this number be reported.  I amusing so much sleep..sleep during day. I hate to shut off my phone in case of family emergency.  The number that is harassing me is 647 776 8788  not sure what company it is. I live in Ottawa ontario

Get  Call Blocker App. For your cell phone. Free at Google Play Store, or Get a Call Blocker Device for your home phone. Just block the numbers that are harassing you. They sometimes disguise their number with Call Spoofing, so don't answer call you don't recognize. Let them go to voicemail.
Never Ever Call Them Back.
Never send money.
Never speak to them, they will harass you more.
They will take your money then pass your information to another agency, and the process starts all over again. It never ends.
They will lie, cheat , and break the law, just to make money.

Received calls from this caller every few hours for about a year. I blocked this number so it only ring once but still very annoying. I don't owe anyone anything, but they kept asking for someone with the same last name.

They (probably some collection agency) call twice every business day. I do not owe any money to anyone. Please, make them stop calling my cellular phone.

I got call from this number 3 time today, when I answer, its automated message, said dial 1 to talk to real person or call another number, I just blocked this number, hopefully I don't get any call from them!!!
