Mine has a different number. 647-867-3037.  Letter says same thing.  Is there anything we can do to stop this scam?  I'm sure some people are being taken.  I could not match that amount if I wanted  to.  Mine is from Bank of America.  I f you also notice, there are too many spelling mistakes to make it legimate.  So many people are hurting right now , it"s a shame someone would be this awful.  Oh well.  God will always have the final say!!!!!  Those names that are being used such as Wal Mart ,Home Depot might be interested in receiving this info.  Thanks everyone and God bless.  Costco Wholesale and Benson Raymond even sound fake.

Exact seniaro as you except my check is drawn off COSTCO WHOLESALE on a Bank of America account.   I'm taking my check to the Bank of America tomorrow.
Perhaps the bank will persue this and track down these loosers !

I just got the same letter dated 7 Sept.  Check from Costco account using Bank of America.  Check amount $3,980.  Phone number 647-867-3037.  Letter signed by "Mr. Kennedy nelson." (Honestly, nelson with a small n and a period after it.  Nice proof reading.)

We got the exact same amount and information as you last week, and knew straight away it was a scam. I just wanted to see if anyone else has had this 'windfall'. Love the internet for things like this.I going to send the check and letter back to Xpress cash asking them to give my portion to charity, but decided not to waste a stamp!

tax to canada ?  send tax via western union, receive your winnings fedex ?  bank of america check ?  check drawn against costco (not a member) ?  yep, mine had the stinch of poop.  report to BBB, local FBI & chamber of commerce.  its mail fraud.  probably democrats figuring they are losing their postions soon

I recieved my letter just a few minutes ago. I was exicited for a moment, then it hit me, this is a scam, just like every one else I got on google and then found all these goodies about their scam.......My big question is, any body know the right people for us to report these nutheads? I'm going to call the claim agent they put in their letter and let her know that I am to record our conversation. Let me see if she will react on that. They did not call me, just this letter, and the assigned claim agent that I have to talk to is MISS SHARON BROOMS at Tel: 1-647-861-7160. (XPRESS-CASH CONSULTANTS 860 WILSON AVE. I JUST CALLED THE ASSIGNED CLAIM AGENT THEY ASSIGNED ME AND I INFORMED HER THAT I AM TO RECORD OUR CONEVERSATION REGARDING MY AWARD, SHE HANG UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do nothing.  It is a total fraud.
Paying tax through Wester Union is an indication of a fraud.

Got the check too I knew it was too good to be true.

I too received a check from xpress-cash consultants from "Costco" drawn on a Bank of America account-ck #209284 - Bank routing #06111278 - 64-1273/611.  The amount was for $3,980.00 for my bing a "lucky" winner in a random drawing,ticket serial #221551.  The letter asked me to send $2,980. for the taxes owed and that I would receive a check delivered by Fed-Ex in the amount of $121,020. after I send them my check via Western Union.  Per the letter my claim agent is Mr.Benson Raymond-647/836-4806.  The letter was signed by a Mr.Kennedy Nelson, President. The return address on the letter is 860 Wilson Ave.-London,Ont, L4L 3A7.  Thank you for your feedback on this scam.

I got the same letter dated 8/31/2010 with check # 209092. How can these people be stopped?

i also just recieved my so call winnings from MR. BENSON RAYMOND . I placed my call & started asking what  I thought where lagitamate questions. For example why would a comp. care if I pay my taxes on my winnings. THERE SO CONCERN I GUESS. Then I tell MR. Raymond to hold on I have a nieghbor who is a retired IRS agent. Would u believe he hung up on me! The nerve of MR. Raymond I just needed to know why I couldnt pay my own taxes. SCAM WRITTIN ALL OVER THIS. P.S. My check was from citizen bank.
