Received call from this number.  It was a telemarketer representing a building contractor who received my tel number from HomeAdvisor.

Received a call from this number on November 21, 2014.  Caller knew my name and wanted me to confirm.  I asked who he was and he said Gary (older man).  He asked me to confirm who I was, I asked him what company he was with and he said " Hey "Fxxx You" then hung up.  

Received a call from this number but left no message.

Called left no message. Based on prior comments, will block.

Calls daily using spoofed numbers. The FCC and FTC will act against DNC registry violators if they receive enough complaints-continue to track these dirtbagger telemarketing calls and file complaints to the FCC and FTC about them.

Received a call from 650-164-7558.  Picked it up but there was only silence.

Any number with a prefix in the 100s after the area code is a scam -- A prefix in the 100s is not used in any area code I can find.  Those numbers on Caller ID immediately go into my call blocker…!

I got several calls from this number, the man on the other end said he was offering some "Home"improvements" I told them I didn't need any and to please stop calling me. He was then very rude. I hang up.

You are absolutely correct. No conventional phone number begins with a "1" because that signals the switch that you are calling outside your AC or in some cases outside your LATA. "1" and "0" & "00" are reserved for Direct Distance Dialing and Attendant/International service respectively.

Calls, leaves no message.

Not getting calls from HRG but many many calls from people trying to call them back. HRG has spoofed my 408 number!!! Made report to FCC but still getting calls. Hope these A-h0!35 are stopped!

Received a call from "HRG Construction" stating they were a "veteran construction company", and were offering to provide a quote "while they were in Palo Alto".
The only HRG Construction that comes up on the internet is in India.  There's no HRG-anything listed at the Contractors State Licensing Board (cslb.ca.gov)
