- Ano| 2 repliesHas called twice the first time she went by Denise Waters and said she was from a local data recovery service and that we get in contact with her as soon as possible or the police would be involved. She left a case number and the 650 phone number. Them she called again a month later with a different name Amber Scott(recognized her voice because of they way she mispronounced my boss's name). This time she said that a file came across her desk about some complaints and allegation filed with a LDR Group against my boss. She said to contact our attorney and to get back to her as soon as possible before they take legal action. She again left a case number and she used the same phone number but this time she left an extension number.

- Nina replies to Sonny chungThe lady called and was trying to be professional but rude at the same time. I called back telling them they are a scam and the attitude started and she said they are a real collection company and I'm an idiot. Wow! Real professional
- RobbieI just received a call from this # claiming I owed on a Master Card acct. They left a vm threatening me with a court order, being served, garnishment etc. The first gal, Bethany Lawrence, spoke so fast and rude I couldn't understand her. Had to keep making her repeat herself to understand what she was saying. Then transferred me to another person, Ms. Baldwin... I said that's not my debt...again speaking so fast and unclear, was extremely rude. I said her name and that the call was a scam and she started yelling at me and hung up. Scare tactics 100%
- Caller: They never said

- T. Langille| 1 replyI have been receiving calls from this number for over a month now. I do currently have some accounts in collections so I didn't want to be dismissive but she never gave me the name of her company or the name of the "client" for whom she was trying to collect debt. I was worried about wage garnishment so I did call back; I got a voicemail and the company recording does not even say the name of the company, it just says "Sorry we missed you. Please leave your name, number, etc." She said my employment and income has been verified and my case will now be closed and forwarded to California for wage garnishment. She has left different names and extension numbers and has even called me at 6:00 in the morning, which I know is not legal for debt collection calls.
- Caller: Didn't identify company
- Call type: Debt collector
- Tygerkat replies to T. LangilleThey have to have a court order to garnish your wages, which means they need to take you to court and win. If you speak to this scammer again, demand they follow the law by mailing you proof of the debt and that they are legally entitled to collect said debt. Refusal to do so for any reason confirms the scam.
Never pay anyone who calls claiming you owe money, even if you do owe a debt. Without that debt validation letter you have no guarantee your caller is legally entitled to collect it. - Ashley MooreWoman named Denise Waters left a message on my phone with a case number telling me she has tried to reach me multiple times and if I didn't respond my case would be turned over to my county and I would be served. I called her back thinking she had the wrong person but she tried to tell me I have a care credit debt that needs to be paid. Which I don't. When I called her out on the scam she got an attitude and hung up on me. Then called me right back to try to talk over me telling me I was going to be served by the police at my door.

- Dustin F.Same, I don't answer numbers I don't recognize. She left voice mail first time saying it would be turned over as of that day that was a week ago and on my other work cell. Then today on my personal cell she left a voicemail saying because I have not responded she was turning over to whatever. Which is it? Hard to up the threat when you already played your hand. I am a Litigation Lawyer by living and what this group is doing completely bully tactics trying to scare people into paying money for old debt. When you have debt that has been charged off at one point or another it gets sold for pennies on the dollar you will get calls and they will stop until your debt gets sold to another low ball group like this for even less money and they try it all over again. Couple things if you have not filed a BK then do not negotiate it can start the default time over again. Always make sure who is collecting the debt is licensed in your state to collect and most importantly you have to get some form of certified letter before they start garnishment. They have to validate you received the correspondence and have validated the debt. These companies are bottom feeders who are looking for individuals they can scare into paying.

- Snikel| 1 replySaid I owed $314. On a 42 "bounced" check. 7× the amount of the check? Legally can't charge more than 3. Texted me a copy of the check. Laughable. The check was written in 2009 12 years ago. Legally limitation on a bounced check is 3 years. Oh also had my ex from almost 10 years ago in his 1 month old new home as my address. Threatened me with God & religion. Refused to provide the company address nor their license number. Said they were going to prosecute me & have me thrown in jail. When I told them i called & the bank had no history of this check as unpaid they said the bank was wrong. Everything wreaks of fraud.
