I'm on the east coast so the call from Mountain View, CA, came in at 1:38 am and thankfully my cell phone was on "Do Not Disturb"; message left was a robo voice claiming to be YouTube returning my call request.  Wasn't my request....blocking contact.

This is a legitimate phone number for Google Customer Service (i.e. if reaching out to Google Customer Service from within Google Pixel phone's Android OS settings, this is the number on the caller ID when Google customer service returns the call).

Don’t answer scam caller

This is a scam. The number shows up as google Customer support but it’s a scam where they tell you to purchase two $50 Google Play Gift Cards to secure a deposit for their service.  They claim when they receive the deposit they will activate your service and your first monthly payment comes out of the deposit.  They try to add an incentive to which you will receive your deposit plus $25 refunded if you are not happy.  The sales person I talked to was named Tim but was clearly Indian.

They number they call you from is
818-824-4945  and thier fake Billing Number is 805-517-8337. The scammers want you to send two $50 google play cards to them and then they request you to send a picture of the card numbers. They empty the cards and claim the server is down so they can’t probide you the service requested.

I think I got the same message, but in Chinese.  Pretty sure amongst all the Chinese speaking I heard the word "Google".

Fedex received scam call from this phone number

Called my daughters phone at 1am. TWICE! Once was at 1:15 am from an Isa from google support who claims she was responding to a request from an email I am unfamiliar with. And then at 1:24 from a ryan from google support. Both claimed that they could not hear me repeated hello a few times and said they needed to disconnect the call. They were speaking with the voicemail. I dont know if they are legit wrong number) or not, but it was very a very unwelcome wakeup call!!!

Answered.... as soon as they said  ' Google returning your call'  turned off....  as didn't request one

Why did they leave 3 and 1 second long voicemails with nothing on them

The voicemail they just left me was a whole bunch of heavy breathing? I'm on the east coast and was just on the verge of falling asleep, now I'm awake!

This number called me today after getting my issue resolved yesterday by the google assistant for Google My Business. She wanted to verify my email address to make sure my concern was resolved. I told her I wasn't giving it out that she should have it. I stayed on the phone with her and asked what was the issue. She did not explain my issue correctly in any form. She asked is this resolved. I told her yes that the google rep helped me yesterday and that all I do is reach out to them via email. The girl felt startled and started stuttering over her words. I hung up.
