- EdCallerID said United Healthcare. I said "Hello" several times for about 10 seconds, it then hung up. Seemed like a robo call, that when you answer the phone it connects to a person at a call center. Really smells like a scam to me.

- Bryan replies to Joehad same experience. Present themselves as legitimate. Didn't give any personal information but rather hung up and called insurance and they confirmed that the solicitation was not associated with them.

- H willi| 1 replyI just received a call with this number and they requested for my birthday and the state I was at. I gave to them my info, it was kind of weird because I had United healthcare a couple months ago after after I left my job, I thought if you quit your job then you don't have the insurance anymore. So the gentleman gently told me I was going to be put on hold, it was just weird that they called. they had some type of very eerie music after they put me on hold for a "nurse" that never called, after some time, the man came back after I was on hold for two to three minutes and asked why isn't there an account on here and I explained why and he said that's probably the reason why apologized and thank me for the time and then he hung up. I'm really concerned, I gave my birthday info, I'm really scared I thought they were legit until I looked the phone number up.

- Pudge replies to H williI wouldn't be too concerned about giving your birth date. That information is available online if you look for it. Now, here's the scoop. I called the number and was run through a system: First question was "What state do you live in?" I answered truthfully. Second question: "Does your member ID have letters in it?" Again, I answered truthfully. Then it said "Please enter your member ID or you can say I don't have it." I said I didn't have it. I was then connected to Sarah, a registered nurse with "Nurse 24/7" a program of United Health Care. I said there is confusion about this number and some suspect it is a scam. How can I be sure this is UHC? She said, if you are ever concerned or feel uncomfortable with a call, hang up and a call the number on the back of your card. If you need "Nurse 24/7" you will be transferred via the agent. She also said that there were some scammers pretending to be AARP and UHC and both companies are aware of it. So, relax, although numbers can be spoofed, it's likely it was UHC "Nurse 24/7" looking to sign you up for the program before realizing you were no longer a member. But HEED this advice: If you are unsure about calls from health care, banks, credit cards, etc., just hang up and call the numbers on your cards or the published number for the agency. Cheers.
- KM replies to meIf they could actually speak anything remotely sounding like english they might have had a chance.
- SDownieThey called me and asked for my DOB and state of residence. I told them I wasn’t going to give them info. They kept pressing. They said it was in order to put me on the phone with a nurse who wanted to check on me. For what? And they called at 8pm which was odd. Said they were a UHC Nurse Line - but I have no reason to speak to them.

- GloriaThis person calls, 8 to 10 times in a span of 10 minutes. I'm a work in the first place so I can't answer. But who calls over and over over? I called back, said it's United health care asking for my date of birth. I gave a fake date, then they hung up.
- Caller: United health care
