put me on your do not call list

They call all the time. Never leave a message and never anyone there when I do answer.

They started calling my cell phone about 5 days ago.  The first few days, they called once a day.  Now it has progressed to twice a day; once in the morning and once in the evening.  I picked up last night and this morning and yelled at them but they end up hanging up on me.  Please note that right before I started receiving these calls, I cancelled my subscription with the Arizona Republic newspaper.  I just called them and they told me they do not give my cell phone and personal information to anyone.  I tried calling the number back but there is a busy signal every single time.

I recently cancelled my subscription to the AZ Republic because I was moving. When I cancelled with their customer service department, I was told that they wouldn't be able to stop my next auto-payment in time, but that I would get it credited back to my bank account it comes out of.

This number has been calling me multiple times a day for about a week now.  The caller told me that I had a past-due balance of $10.xx, but he would knock it down to $5 if I agreed to a Saturday-Sunday subscription for $1.25 a week.  I told him no because I moved and my fiance already had a subscription. He said he would immediately need to collect payment on my past-due $10 and to get my credit card info. I asked why it would not just be taken out of my bank account that was already linked to the subscription (like every other payment I had ever made). He said once my account closed, they no longer had that info, so I would need to give my credit card info to him again. I said that I should have money credited back to me from the Republic. He said that whoever told me that was wrong, and I owed $10.

Sounds fishy to me.  NEVER give your credit card info to someone who calls asking for it. I will call customer service today at AZ Republic to see if I actually have a past-due balance.

So glad you posted this and mentioned the Arizona Republic.  I'm going to call them right now and complain while filing a complaint with the FCC.  This is ridiculous!  The calls have progressed to 4x a day now and it looks like they have been getting away with this for years.

I am getting calls on my cell phone 2x a day, in the morn and at suppertime. I tried calling the number back and the recording says the phone number is no longer in use.

I am on the do not call registry for my CELL PHONE number. I thought calls could not be made like this on a cell phone.

I APPRECIATE anything that can be done to stop this annoyance to everyone.

I have been getting these calls from this number about two times a day.
There is an Arizona Republic connection.
I never answer.

I started getting these calls at the end of September, first once a day, then twice a day.  Now I get 3 a day - always always two in a row (within 15-20 minutes of each other) and a third one at another time of day.  I never pick up, and they have only left messages 2 or 3 times - background noise and maybe some mumbling?  

I also recently canceled my AZ Republic subscription.

Unwanted unknown phone number calling me

I cancelled my AZ Republic subscription on Friday, then Monday began receiving calls from 651-288-2873. When I answer, I say hello twice, then hear a beep, then hang up. Haven't spoked to a live person yet. It makes sense now that I've read everyone else's comments. I have the number automatically forwarded to my voicemail now.

Keep getting calls from this 651.288.2873 number- I am on the do not call list- I don't answer unknown numbers- I just want to know how they got my number!

I don't need you calling me. If you want to call somebody, call someone else. NOT ME!!!

It's the Arizona Republic Newspaper. I just cancelled by subscription and they want me to sign up again.

thats weird cause they called me and talked fast and somehow new my name and said wats happening ang hanged up and i called back and it said it was out of service
