- JR| 1 replyMade a trip to the ER a week or so ago for minor injury. These folks called and left a message the they represented (muffled) hospital. I knew it was a scam right then because the rest of the message was crystal clear. They're blocked now.
- Caller: Avectus Health Systems
- josephcalled today but will check with my hospital for correct DOB
- EthenThey keep calling my cell and leaving a message for my roommate from 5 years ago. Haven't had contact him for many years. Don't know how they got my number.
- BurlzI've been screening my incoming calls for a long time now trying to figure out what actions I've done in day to day life to attribute waves of robocalls etc. to and a recent trip to the ER is no exception and received the first one today 14 days later. I didn't answer cause it is a work-mans comp case and everything and everyone that has anything to do with it has been appointed to and have had direct contact with. The message went as stated. HI, (My first name), My name is "Mumble", with "Mumble", "Mumble", "Mumble" Healthcare Services on behalf of (my hospital), "Mumble","Mumble","Mumble" follow up, You can reach me at 662-286-6949 ext. 1703. Or if you'd like go to "Mumble","Mumble","Mumble".com, and fill out the "Mumble" on line. So called the hospital and talked to the staffing there and in the ER. Both had no clue as to the nature nor the number of the caller. So planning on blocking to save me the headache if they try calling during a reasonable time of day. BTW call came in @ 8pm, and the "Mumble" referred to above is an actual "Mumble" and was lucky to comprehend the rest of the message. The caller spoke English with an American dialect, so "Mumbles" were "Mumbles" big tip off as to being a bogas call.

- Very aggravated| 1 replyI knew my bills were paid from a recent car accident. My health insurance is already recovering their monies from the auto insurance of the driver at fault and I paid the deducible. I think these scam artists (going by Medpay Assurance, LLC, Avectus Healthcare Services and some other names) must scam some people and make money from it because they are dedicated. They left one message at my home number as they were blocked from my cell after so many calls with inarticulate messages. Then they searched for my father and sister. Scaring my poor father by leaving yet another message that wasn't understandable indicating they were with a local hospital and calling about my accident. This wasn't where I was treated and so he did not associate it with the prior accident from months ago. They acted to my sister like my bills weren't paid and she knew the details of the situation already and knew this was something fishy. They are annoying and persistent. I think they are working from accident reports and guessing what hospital you might have visited.
I am on the do not call list so I registered a complaint here:
https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
I also found the page below with the primary company contacts (caller id still identifies are Med Pay, but here it is dissolved, sounds like a rename to start over with new "leads" for their scams). I think I will write letters to these addresses and explain how if they were really working with my providers they would have the information they claim to need and that I consider they tactics harassment. Who knew the scam artists were going to be worse than actually needing surgery from an accident injury? Why is it that the accident reports are published? Isn't that a privacy violation? And it turns out just a "lead list" for these types of jerks. The number of calls I have received since, and not just from these idiots, are unreal.

I was in an accident a couple of weeks ago and was taken to that hospital but all bills are paid by my Ins Co or Medicare. I'm blocking the number. I believe it is a scam.

- BigA replies to JCSimple to take care of. Forward the information to your insurance company and let them handle it. That is what they are paid to do.
- BigA replies to Very aggravatedI know you won't ever see this, but just in case someone else reads your post, the DNC covers sales calls, and nothing else. That is clearly explained here:

- MeValid call from healthcare claims management organization for coordination of recent billing. They may do debt collecting too, but this was in regards to proper routing of insurance payments for a complex claim. They did ask for a second identifier before proceeding with call, would prefer they find a way to provide confirmation of their identity before requesting such information (I already knew a company by that name was involved in the claim, and was able to pry and get some other information a random scammer shouldn't have before proceeding).

- Deb SHad a voice mail from Avectus Healthcare and "Erica" called me by my first name. She wants me to call back, but I'm not, because I've never dealt with this company. And, I always pay my medical bills on time!!

- AaronReceived a call & voicemail from this number at 11:54am on 08/19/2021. Call ID showed up as "Bolder Healthca" *AND* "Avectus Medpay Assurance." The caller ID'd as "Junior with Avectus Healthcare Solutions" & spoke with a forced pseudo-Texas accent that barely masked a South Asian accent. The caller asked for a callback at the number he called from & gave a team ID number. I ran a search on the number & found it was linked to a residential landline in Corinth, MS. It's a scam. For one, the call ID was all over the place. For another, the caller didn't correctly ID the company he was supposedly working for. Third, the bad accent was a dead giveaway. Finally, the number isn't a company at all but possibly a spoofed number using an unsuspecting MS citizen's actual phone line. If you get a call from here, don't answer & don't call back. Report the number & block it.
