I spoke to someone named "Mike" from this number 2 days ago and told him I am on a "DO NOT CALL list and to stop calling me. As of today I have received 3 more calls from this number. What good is the "DO NOT CALL" listing if they can still call you???

This was the 15th call today from hangup, nobody there, scammed numbers.  I think this is the record for our home phone.  I think the NSA should use its power to help the FTC and FCC to track down these scuzzbuckets and put them jail.  Scammers hurt the national security MORE than than the potential "terrorists" that the NSA is supposedly tracking.  These phone scammers are DOMESTIC TERRORISTS and should be treated as such.

Called again on Sunday.  Saturday and Sunday are BOTH my sabbaths!

My mom got this call and the guy said he was from Microsoft and that she had a bad virus and he needed to get into her computer to fix it. She handed me the phone and he hung up. She said she gets this call every once in awhile and tells them her grandson takes care of her computer needs and they hang up.

Scam call.  Block the number and never hear from these scam artist in the future.

Guy from sounded like India, said having problems with computers for a long time.  Can I go to the computer and they would attempt to fix the problem.  Told them I didn't have a computer.  (No laptop?--no, no laptop, only one at work, can fix that one; when will you be at work?--Sunday morning 8am.  Sorry we don't work on Sundays...)he hung up then...SCAM

My 72 year old dad got this call and gave the guy his information, of course his computer is locked up and the guy knew about dad's credit cards he pays his bills with so he has to cancel them and get new ones sent.  The guy told my dad he owed him $400 for the "cleaning" of his computer, my dad then realized that it was a scam too late but didn't give the guy any money.  He keeps calling wanting the $400 though.  I don't know what to do.

Same call just came for me. Said they owed me $250 for services they did in March, and I had to log on to my computer so they could refund me. I was born at night, but not last night!!

I was awakened at 08:15 a little early for telemark calls in Northwest IN fortunately I did'nt answer, I went to my PCand I checked a program I have  Area Code Listing surprise no USA NPA listing.Suspected SCAM! I google A.C.668 and found this site my advice? don't answer the phone.

Second time I've gotten a call from this number. It is out of the country.

How stupid do these people pretending to be windows tech think I am?  I am using an IMac computer and he is trying to tell me that my windows program are compromised and that we need to go in and fix the problem.  Yet the born dumb [***] didn't understand the fact or did not want to understand that I was not using a windows computer.  He still wanted me to give him information because I was using Windows.  What does he not understand?

Just got a call from these jerks. Said hackers had my information.  I'd guess India is where then are based.  

DANGEROUS *SCAM ALERT*: 668-233-5000 - They will most likely infect your computer, rip-off your information / credit card, etc.

Foreign Con-Artist Caller (India? Malaysia? Philippines? Taliban?)  who said he was from "Microsoft", and "was calling to fix my computer".  I knew immediately that it was a scam because I don't use any Microsoft products.

PS / 800Notes.com should add a "Scam" option to their "Call Type" list.   "Prank Call"  doesn't cut it in their Call Type list.  If some calls are dangerous to us, our wallets, or our equipment, we should be allowed to indicate it with an escalated warning.

This call is an unwanted call

We've received many calls from this number.  ALL have said they are from Windows tech support & I have a dangerous "infection" on my Windows computer..... I   I have had only Apple products for 30 years.... How can we stop this nonsense?

You have to reset your computer to factory settings! This will cause the computer to be like brand new, out of the box. That way, you can reset a new password that this scammer will not be able to access anymore. I would be more concerned with that fact that this scammer has access to you and your family's personal information!!!! If you've ever entered in your social security numbers online then they get that akin with your driver's license, credit/debit card numbers along with the pin, your email along with passwords. They can actually send out emails to all of your contacts, pretending to be you and giving up some sob story that you need money for something or another and having your family and friends send money to them instead of you, of course! They could steal your identity and ruin your credit and or put you in debt by taking out a mortgage, loans, buying items and cleaning out your checkin and savings account. You could even get a criminal record if someone posing as you gets arrested, charged and found guilty of all kinds of crimes and pretends to be you by handing over a driver's license in your name! So long story short, they could completely ruin your life and put you and your family in danger! They will know where you live, work, I you are cheating on you spouse, etc etc and they could blackmail you with personal information to get you to pay money and never stop blackmailing you until one day you no longer decide to pay them and that's where things can get pretty scary!! Do you think they'd be like, ok I understand that you don't want to pay anymore and out of the kindness of my heart I will let you go without using the info against you! Heck no, they will most likely threaten you and your family's life! As crazy and as far fetched as this scenario sounds, ITS NOT!!! Because it's been done to people many of times!!! You need to first cancel your credit cards an call your bank to move your accounts so you get a new account number and passwords and such, call the police and file a identity theft charge against these scammers! This will protect you in case your identity is used for further criminal activity, then boot your computer to out of box factory settings. But before you do, make sure to download onto cd or flash drives all the programs you wish to keep, then call social security so you can get a new ss number, call credit agency's to start protecting your credit. This great how to information online for what to do wen your identity has been stolen! Good luck and have a good talk with your family about trusting people or rather, not trusting people!!!! Lastly, you want to find out what company in your area that you should call to inform them of this "windows help-customer service" scam so that they can inform the public so that you can help others not allow themselves to be vulnerable to being naively victimized by these monsters!!

Received call from them every once in a while for the past few years. Not every time is it this exact number but it's always the same spiel about Microsoft tech support needing to help me with a compromised windows PC. I've never once fell for their scam even the first time they called. But they did sound convincing even with the thick Indian accent because as racist as this may sound, it's common knowledge that those in India are computer engineers who are mega computer nerds ;p so that first time I would've given in to their request to access my computer if I could understand what the guy was saying! I could not figure out what he was wanting or what he actually needed my help for or how he was to access my computer when what he was saying sounded like gibberish so asked to speak to someone else and new guy was worst than the first. So I told him that I would just call Microsoft myself and ask to speak to someone I could understand. So called Microsoft whom informed me that they never call customers from the tech department for technical issues EVER! And the number I told them was on caller ID was not associated with Microsoft windows at all. So now that I knew this was all a scam I decided to play a little game for the next time they called... Here's what happened:

Your computer has been sending us messages that there is a breech with the server and this is most likely caused by a third party virus if this is not corrected immediately, your computer will remain and a greater risk for identity theft and a computer crash. Did you get what I just told you?
Me: oh my god! What can I do?
Scammer: I can take care of this for you. But let me ask you, do you own a computer (lmao)
Me: yes is the one you are calling me about
Scammer: that's correct. Can you get on the internet
Me: yes sexy
Scammer: *giggles*. Ok then I can help you. I need you to go to this website. Ammwyyy.com
Me: I don't know how to do that. You have such a hot voice. What are you wearing?
Scammer: go to website and I will tell you what to do
Me: I can't do this on my own! I don't have hands! But I can use my mouth to give good [***]. Where do you live?
Scammer: you don't have hands? I live in United States of America. Can you use your mouth to type?

Me: no I am [***]! My lawyer helps me in the daytime and my male prostitutes help me at night. My lawyer will not enter in the address you want me to type in because he says you are trying to scam me.

Me: he just left and he did not type it. He is going to bring the police here but it will take him an hour to drive to police station.

Me: yes we must hurry because I am dying from the HIV and aids and I don't have very long to live. But I tell you what, I have a lot of money and when we get married I will give it to yojiu before I die.
Scammer: how much money do have?
Me: a quarter of a million dollars I got from a trust fund. Oh no. Pol e are here!!
Scammer: *panicked* I will call you tonight to get you money.
Me: never mind I have myself sex while I talked to you on the phone so I don't need you anymore but thank you for giving me this sex. Sorry, I lied I don't have a computer. I just wanted the sex.
Scammer: are police there?
Me: no I was wrong, it's my male prostitute... You know what I mean... A jig gallo. Ok thank you for giving me sex have a sexy day hot stuff.
