So today I received a check for 2,555 for an item that I was selling for 364.

The man name was Chris Murphy and he was interested in buying this item from me.

His message read.
"I'm interested in buying the Item from you.i'm chris murphy I would love to come and check it myself but I'm currently on a business trip due to the natu
re of my job.Pls do withdraw the advert from Craigslist as i don't mind adding $80 for you to do that, so i can rest assured that the item is held for me
th your full name and your mail address for the check to be mailed to it asap.

This is the first I have ever decided to sell something on Craigslist so I replied by saying "I'm not really sure about that.  I would love to  sell it to you, but how do I know everything will work out without any problems?  Are you saying that you would send me the check first and want me to put the ipad aside for you until you get back? "

He replied that his movers would come one the check clears

I received the check today and I will not be cashing it.  This person is really using Craigslist as a way to lure people in to his trap.Please BEWARE

Take the check and the envelope it came in to the post office and have them forward it to the postal inspectors.  That fake check was probably mailed by a co conspirator located somewhere in the states.

Beware of this person or any one wanting to buy any item for more then your selling it for. Then wants to send you a certified check. Do not accept it's a scam. And you will be responsible for the funds taking out of your account. If it to good to be true it probably isnt true!!!
