669-222-4245

This is a scammer who has contacted me three times now using different numbers starting with 669-222-...
He's responding to my ad on Craigslist for a couch, and claiming that he's out of town for "health reasons." He'll send me a cashier's check with extra money for moving services, and that a 3rd party moving company (which he refuses to identify) will come pick up the couch. As soon as I tell him "no thanks" he tries again from a different 669-222 number. Sometimes he'll screw up and say he's writing about the "vacuum." If you get a text from this number, just don't respond.

OMG-In Virginia,  he texted me the same exact story.   He even mailed the cashier's check.   I was selling furniture for $75-he sent a check for $1,900(to cover the extra furniture his movers will be picking up).   "Lucas Wayne" from Crestview FL, but the cashier's check is from Pueblo Bank & Trust in Pueblo CO.   I mailed make the check, but no one signed for it, so it was undelivered.

If you have the check...do not cash it...take it to the post office along with the envelope so the postal inspectors can examine it (possible mail fraud).

Same thing - in Illinois, responding to my rug ad ($75). Was so confused when I got a check from "Lucas Wayne" via Travis Credit Union for $1400.

I too have gotten stuff from this scammer. I got a cashiers check for a 100 dollar item with the amount of 1925 dollars. I did not cash it nor should you if you get to this point. Here is the scam:

I just got this also. The same scheme as others posted. This time the check was from Apple Federal Credit Union. His check was for 1450.45.
