Someone texted me from this number, identifying himself as Capt. Eric Carter. I own a cake decorating business, and he said that he found my business listing on theknot.com, and wanted to hire me to make a cake and cupcakes for his son's birthday. He also supplied an email address to contact him. I googled the phone number, didn't find this number specifically, but similar numbers that had suspicious origin. So I'm checking to see if this might be some fraudulent activity in the works.

I just got text from same number but called himself Captain Shawn Bruce. I have knot.com account for flowers. I will report to them. Will u do the same???

Got a text about a film / makeup up opportunity. Scammer

Same, got a fake text saying they want to publish me. Scam!

I received a text from this number in regards to doing makeup for a magazine and stated he found me on FilmandTvpro.. looked up the number on FB and registered to Roberts Gerardo.. Scammer Beware!!

Also got contacted by this number, saying their with the Atlantic. They said they wanted to work with me for an upcoming shoot. He said he found me on instagram and filmandtvpro. The person said their name was Scott stossel, who actually does work for the atlantic. he also listed his email: ss.theatlantic@outlook.com . Was thinking about taking it but after seeing this its clearly a scam!

Business Scam
Well known business scam.  Generally, it goes like this:
They will text or email you with a fairly large order to get your attention.  Almost all communications will be by text or email (because they are foreigners and English is not their first language which is oft times obvious in the quality of the text or email) and there will be some excuse, such as they are deaf, or sick, or somewhere that doesn't have phone service (then how did the text get out?).  They want to know if you take credit cards, and if so, which ones?  They don't care about the price since it will always seem reasonable or low.  They then tell you that they want to place the order, and have someone pick the order up, who conveniently does not accept credit cards and that is the only way they have a paying right now.  So they will overpay you and tell you to send the difference by untraceable means such as Western Union to this person for them.  Eventually the card they give you will be reversed and you will be out the money and the fees.

Got a text from this exact number with incorrect  English - low grammar skills. That is the most obvious in scammers since in the Film and TV INdustry, that would be highly unacceptable. Also said they found me on Film and TV pro. Texting for introductory communication for a  job, or  any "hire opportunity" is just to unprofessional for the regular standard.

I received the same e-mail! He offered to pay for travel expenses as well. Big scam.
