How many of you are in Texas and on Sprint? There is a similar sms text going around with a different number. Same MO. Everyone on the other site is in Texas and has Sprint. I have received this number and a 1-212-871-1792 number. It is spam and BofA is aware. I have the number blocked from my phone now using Mr.Number. Whatever you do, don't give them information or make up information. No bank is allowed to contact a customer and ask for card/account information.

I too live in Texas and received two txt messages. One from urgnt@b-of-america and the other from sms@b-ofamerica (they forgot the hyphen) from the same number requesting that I call them asap. I didn't and immediately looked up the number on the internet where I saw this post. I will deleted both the threads and will block the messages using 9999 on my phone.

Received text saying urgent message, call this number,  did not nor will I respond.

I have been receiving text messages for days saying to contact Bank of America and each one has a new number.  These messages only started after my bank upgraded their online banking system to require sms access codes. I have contacted them to find out more about the upgrade but so far they claim it is coincidence.

Used email address "urgent@b-of-america.com" This is a scam.  It came as a text message.

I took just received a text message from theses jerks (urgent@b-of-america.com) saying to call BOfA at 678-384-7533.  I too do not have a Bank of America account.  I love spokeo.com for purposes like this!  I forwarded the text to abuse@bankofamerica.com.

I live in Texas & have Sprint as well. Just rec'd a text ffrom "BOfA. PleaseCall 678 384 7533" at 11:36am.  I did not reply or call, just looked online & found these posts.  I have had MAJOR issues w/ Sprint for over a month due to a software update on my Galaxy SII... maybe the updates have something to do with it.

I have received three calls - all bogus. The numbers were 561-235-7256, 212-871-1792, and 678-384-7533.

Have received four of them in the last two days from: "B of A.  Please contact 16783847533"

the problem is Sprint and they are unwilling to help their customers.  They continue to blame it on third parties even the user.

Ok Sprint is not willing to help but I want to hear from everyone using Sprint. contact me at Sprint_sucks@aol.com.  I am tired of this crap and hope you are too.

My husband and I both got these messages today, on our cell phones, Sprint is our provider.

got 2 calls & voicemails & 2 test messages from this number asking for me to call back. When the number is called, it is either a busy signal or they just ask for your bank card number. It does say Bank of America when they answer - but it is not! SCAM!

received a text from urgent@b-of-america - BOfA.  PleaseCall 678 384 7533.  Called my bank since I don't have text set up for my account.  Definitely a scam.

I am also a sprint customer, recieved two texts from bofa@vtext.com please call 3122241636..didnt return any text because i diidnt sign up with bank of america to recieve sms notifications...SCAM!!
