Collection department of Northside Hospital.  Apparently legitimate, but very intrusive and annoying -- I got a call from this number before they'd even sent a bill, and again from another one of their numbers (404-250-3011) immediately after I received the first bill.

If they call me again before I send the check, I'll just tell them, "If you call me one more time, I'm not sending the check until March 15."

Northside Hospital Collections, calling to ask for payment for services rendered before I even received a bill!  They called me at 11:45 pm on a Saturday night on my cell phone! This is so intrusive, there is no excuse for ANY PERSON or entity to call someone so late at night unless there is an emergency.  
I have advised them that if they call again, they will be considered "harassing" under these circumstances. I have asked that they communicate with me exclusively in writing.

They called me stating that they were with Ga Power then asked me for Chris. I said that this isn't his phone anymore. She asked well can you give me his number please and i said i dont know it <I DO> she said well it seems like you know him so can you give me the number i hung  up. She caled back and i ignored > She left a message saying HI CHRIS A LITTLE GIRL ANSWERED THE PHONE SAYING IT WASNT YOU BUT SHE LIED BECAUSE YOUR VOICEMAIL STATES OTHERWISE she called me a little girl and a liar im SOOO mad SHOULD I CALL BACK?

Called from GA power, asked for James, told them they had the wrong number.

This number is a collection agency . They apparently handled collection accounts for several different companies and when they call you, they state they are representatives from that company. Northside Hosp, GA power and any other company to whom they have a contract to handle their collections

Even if you do owe this company, there are laws that the collection agency must adhere to. One of them is to only be able to call you between the hours of 8am and 9pm.....if they are calling you outside that time, they are breaking the law and you can remind them of this and even report them to the better business beareau, who will actually investigate and call them.

THE BBB WILL NOT HELP AT ALL - don't waste your time with them

To have any impact at all you MUST REPORT THEM TO THE GOVERNMENT AGENCIES THAT WILL STOP THEM

Calling them back will not resolve the problem. One you can contact the actually company and advise them of the mis-handling of one of their accounts through the company they are choosing to represent them. Contact the BBB, better business beareau online and file a complaint, it doesnt cost anything and it doesn't take long. There are laws that collection agency are required to work under. Most of them don't because they know most people are not aware of the laws they are breaking, but they could be in big trouble for breaking them. When you file a complaint, you can print your filing then when the BBB contacts you back, print that. then send a letter to the company to whom you actually owe money or not, depending if the collection agency has accuarate info. Provide them copies of where you have filed a complaint, The company that has hired the collection agency, will call the collection agency and pull them off you, if they feel (due to your letter) that they could get in big trouble

You are correct, there are other avenues that could help you as well. But filing with the BBB can also help. I know because I had this situation and once I filed my compaint, the letters and calls stopped.

OMG! Me, too! I've never been there and they just tried to call me WTF

I just got a collect called from this number.  Automated operator asked if I would accept a call from, then a guy stating his name as "Jim".  I do not know a Jim nor was I'm going to accept a call from him.  I'm not even located in GA.  I have never been to Northside Hospital.  Adding this number as, "SPAMMER" on my contacts so if he calls back I know not to answer.

Received a call, and called back, at 4:00a in the morning. Said it was the emergency room. Very concerned because of my family members. Called the number back, and sated it was the emergency room at Northside. No one has been there.

Number is now a Georgia Power number for repairs.

I get a call from this number every day, three times in a row back to back. They claim they're a collection agency for Northside Hospital and Ga Power but I've never been to Northside Hospital and do not have any outstanding payments with Ga Power. Started happening about a year ago and has continued on. Any time I answer and try  to explain to them that I'm confused why I'm being called because I have no outstanding bills and haven't been to the hospital and they're always very rude and argumentative and will flat out accuse you of lying. I've stopped answering now. They never leave a voicemail either.

I know at one point and time I had an collection on my credit report for Northside Hospital and I had never been to that hospital.  I had to go to Kaiser and get my medical record showing in 2008 that I was never at Northside Hospital or no ER.  I have not have to go the ER in years since 1998 and I have been with Kaiser since 1996.  That is not one of the hospital on their list unless they just recently added them.

I called Ga Power customer service and told the machine I would do a survey after the call but forgot and hung up, so it called me back
