Number appears as scam or fraud call on my phone caller ID so I don't ever answer it

The call was from Georgia Power they place the incorrect zipcode on the bill and it returned to them. So they called my number which I answered. They waved the late fee because it was their error that I  never received the bill from them. They don't accept payment over thr phone with a live person so I was directed to their website that didn't  was not  recognizing my debit my debit card so I  paid it through online bill pay with my bank. I knew I  owed it so I paid it.

Its a Scam! It is not Northside or Ga Power. Just a bunch of desperate scammers who fake phone number to scare you into giving out personal information like credit card info or prepaid cards.

Be smart people! Check your bills online. NEVER EVER GIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE. If you are late on any bill,  pay online or call the customer service number on the invoice/bill. BY LAW, you don't have to pay over the phone.

Beware, report the calls and warn others! BE smart folks. Telemarketing scams are the new email spams. Warn others.
