Legit call, I spent about $350 one day at places I normally don't go.

I see all of these people that alleged this is ETrade. It is not. It is debt collection agency that refuses to ID themselves. Block call.

Yes, I made some transactions from an account I left dormant and they called to verify it was me.

Got this call tonight telling me to set up beneficiaries, I called etrade 800number and they verified the call and the number, all good

Maybe it's ETRADE maybe not. They do not leave a message, so I don't know what it is. I would not give them any info about me if it were. ETRADE can secure message me. Randomly calling my phone and not even leaving a message is not the way to contact me!!!

Complete scam; they've been added to my block list.

Yep, it was E-Trade calling me with some questions.  No problem there.

2016:  I finally answered and she said she was responding to my online resume and was from Randstad Staffing Agency.  The phone number is from Stone Mountain, GA and I live in Phoenix, AZ.  I'll be blocking this number, obviously they are phishing for live numbers and emails.

Legitimate number from Etrade.  In my case it concerned a problem I was having with my debit card.

It was etrade, but it made me uncomfortable.

Legitimate call from E*Trade, and my broker left a message identifying himself.
As for some of these reports stating it's a scammer, bill collector, or spammer ...  I suspect some bad people are spoofing the CID.   Unfortunately there's not much that can be done about that.

I eventually blocked the calls but realized I had blocked VMs from the number too. Sounded like awkward pocket dials.

It was Etrade. The caller left a phone number, including an extension, for a return call.

Called at 7am today. Left no message. I called the number back and E*Trade answered.

I got a call this morning...yes, at 3 A.M., waking me up. My computer shows it came from 678-710-2410. No response on the other end....just a bunch of papers shuffling. Waiting to hear what E-Trade has to say.
