- InvestigatorThis number is linked to someone scamming people in the entertainment and event industry. Going by the name of Garry White. It's a mobile number. He's claiming to be associated with Beyond Motion Productions and he is not associated with that company.
- Scam Buster| 3 repliesThis number is now being used within follow up scam emails to Production Assistant and Videographer/Editor job post applications for "Yellow Brick Films" on climber.com and newmediahire.com. The scammers are posing as the legitimate film production company "Yellow Brick Films" and names of two of their team members (within the emails) in an elaborate scam. The emails boast wanting to send the job applicant a check for travel expenses to attend an all expenses paid pre-production meeting. The check is to be cashed by the recipient and then a portion of the check is to be transferred to their "travel agent".
- Almost scamed replies to Scam Busterthis is true I almost fell for it thank goodness I googled the number. He did exactly what Scam Buster posted above.
- Son Almost Scammed replies to Scam Buster| 1 replyThese guys sent my son a check for $2,556 then hounded him to transfer $1,900 to an Agent in Dallas when the job was supposedly in NY. Then "The Director" kept texting him that the "Travel Agent" needed $500 more right away. Now the Agent was in Mobile, Alabama. They force you to use Money Gram so it can't be traced. They actually got angry with my Son when he said he could wire it for free from our Bank instead of Money Gram. First of all what legitimate Director does their own Human Resource work. And the language, quality of writing and syntax of the text appeared to be coming from someone for who English is not their first language. They claimed to be Richard Gray of Yellow Brick Films. Richard Gray is Australian. Stay away from anything to do with something like this.
- Elspeth replies to Son Almost ScammedThis is just another version of the check over payment scam - I'm glad you or you son didn't fall for it!

The FTC offers the following tips for avoiding the check overpayment scam:
Know who you’re dealing with – independently confirm your buyer’s name, street address, and telephone number.
If you’re selling something over the Internet, say “no” to a check for more than your selling price, no matter how tempting the plea or convincing the story.
There is no legitimate reason for someone who is giving you money to ask you to wire money back.
More advice on how to be on guard against Internet fraud is available atOnGuardOnline.gov.
Consumers are asked to report check overpayment scams to their state Attorney General, the National Fraud Information Center/Internet Fraud Watch, a service of the National Consumers League at www.fraud.org or 1-800-876-7060, or the FTC atwww.ftc.gov or 1-877-FTC-HELP. - Yellow Brick Films (Scam Alert)Same number. Same scam as noted in other post in granting me a position and wanting to fly me to NY, (initial email below). I called the number and it was a person with an Indian accent, not Australian like the Director, Richard Gray. This person did not know anything about the film making process when challenged with simple questions. Afterwards I did a full research on the company and checked with the Better Business Bureau in CA where I found nothing bad about Yellow Brick Films. I did deposit the check they sent for $2555.56 where I asked them to flag it as suspicious. The confirmed that depositing a check into your account will not reveal any information about your account to a any 3rd party. The check was a cashier check from Dort Credit Union in Flint, MI and was from a Steven Glasser (upon research, he is a Pharm Rep for Bosh & Lomb). Meanwhile, in coordinating logistics via text messages with the fake "Richard Gray" and via emails from a fake "Jamie Houge (houge@yellowbrickfilm.net)" the weirdness became obvious and thankfully the "real" Yellow Brick Film posted a warning on their website that confirmed suspicions. The initial email scam is as follows:
