I got numerous calls, no message finally answered travel comp bs asking for a different person then tried to sell me something. Hung up

Calls every single day. No messages left.

The call is supposedly from Broad Horizons Travel looking to rent weeks of our timeshare.  They have a very believable setup and I am afraid will take many other people who are not so diligent in their research.  PLEASE BEWARE - THEY ARE NOT FOR REAL!!!  They offered us over $3000/week of timeshare usage for "their client" and are very good at selling you BS.  Their website looks believable and their story sounds pretty legit, they are listed on the Better Business Bureau website (notice that it is a newer listing even though it claims they have been in business for numerous years).  Please head my warning - they are a scam.  Once I called them out on it and told them I knew they weren't for real they won't answer or return my calls.

Hey NoBody's Fool. They have contacted me about buying my GrandMayan 2 Bedroom. How can they defraud me in this transaction?

How is it a scam?

They will ask you for upfront money to process the transaction assuring they will reimburse you. . grand Mayan frequently sends out warnings about these type of scams

Ok. Thanks. I asked the guy upfront if there were any upfront fees(told him I would not be interested if there were) and he assured me no. I may just string him along and see how it plays out. They offered me 42K to buy my 2Bedroom and thought it was bs. Funny thing is, I paid like 32K for it 10 years ago.

calling to sell even though I'm on Do Not Call list!
any company doing this CANNOT be trusted.

Please go report them to FTC to get them to stop calling people with this scam: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx

They contacted me with their offer and have not asked for any money. We have been scammed before so we know when to shut these guys down.

I asked about up front fees from us as well and they denied asking for anything.  I want to believe them, but to date, no one has been true to form.

any updates they called me today

I have been contacted by them offering to buy my condo in Cabo for 24K I’m reading this and wonder it’s legit?  I have contacted my timeshare to see if this can be done.

I would like to see what happens also with this.

Offer to buy my timeshare in Cabo.

Be very careful.  Have you seen a contract yet?  What they say means very little.  Reports of offering more money than being asked is suspicious.  Timeshares are just not worth very much, and if something  is too good to be true...
You might ask your timeshare management company in Cabo if they have any info about Broad Horizons.

-- Note:  This is not precisely an interactive board, there you might get responses from other posters with in minutes, hours or days - or not at all.  But keep checking back!

Did it work out for you? I received a call from them as well.

Did it work? We are in “negotiations” right now. Very leery. We signed papers: but waiting to see.

This is a complete fraud.  This entity is running a scam with another fake business called Gilliam Title to defraud people of their money.  Do not waste your time and definitely do not send them any money.

I was wondering if this has worked out.  Have you received the money that was agreed upon with Broad Horizons Travel?  All the previous messages do not say any outcome.  But you did say that you signed papers.  Can you give any incite as the outcome?
