This number called me, I waited three rings, then picked up the phone (landline) and said nothing.
After several seconds, the caller hung up. The "click click" sounded like robo-call equipment.

The name "WEB RANKING" sounds suspiciously like someone who wants to try to add some charges to my landline phone bill. In the year 2000, one of my co-workers, who was an immigrant from Thailand, asked me for help in writing a letter to AT&T disputing the charges a scammer put on her phone bill supposedly for website services. She was in her 50s and did not know how to operate a computer, much less have a website.

Rang 3 times then hung up.

this number called my cell phone today at 4:04PM. No message was left, and I did not answer the call because I didn't recognize and know the number. I figured it was probably a telemarketer or a scammer because I have been getting numerous calls day after day from numbers like this one for the past couple weeks. I am on the do not call list.  Sometimes I wonder how the do not call list works if you keep getting unwanted calls.

Number called I let it ring cause its not familiar they did not leave a message . I googled number got this webpage left comment.  Moved on...

Got call and let it go to voicemail.  If no voicemail then it wasn't important.

My call log shows this number called at 9:42 a.m. and left no message. It shows Ft. Worth TX in the name column.

Keep getting calls from this number. I never answer unknown numbers. This and a couple other wierd numbers has called me lately. If they cant leave a message, I cant answer or call back!

Numerous harassing calls from the Dallas TX phone number (682) 703-8277 with recorded message offering to save businesses money by offering lower credit card processing fees. No matter how many times you press the number to be removed from their automated boiler-room sales attacks, they keep calling.

So, the next time they called, I pressed the button to speak to someone. I was then transferred to a punk claiming that his name was Jonathan, trying to sell credit merchant card processing services to businesses that accept credit cards. I politely asked the pitiful excuses of a human being for his last name and he said, "you don't need that."

I repeated my request for his last name, wherein Jonathan asked; "are you interested in our services or just wasting my time?"

When I told him once again, more forcefully this time, that I needed his last name, Jonathan hung up on me. Do yourself a favor and block the (682) 703-8277 serial spammer-telemarketing number from ever being able to ring your phone again and you'll be glad you did.

Go away. leave me alone (I'm practicing for the day I might asnwer my phone, in my next life perhaps).

They'll just find another number to spoof from. these aren't real numbers, often they belong to real people or institutions.

The very worst thing you can do is (1) answer the phone if you don't recognize caller - they know you're a live line (2) to respond by pressing any number which promises to remove you , now you've added your "live" line to 1000 more telemarketiers who just bought your number from the guy you spoke to

The DNC list is for legitimate callers vs. scammers and spoofers and criminals.  Thus, the DNC list is useless.  Call centers are legitimate, the DNC was created to get sales people to stop calling at dinner time or whenever to those who don't want to be disturbed by Jake wearing khaki's calling at 3AM from the insurance company.  The best thing you can do is to create your own private (Idaho) DNC List by not answering the phone  then block calls you don't want by getting some call blocking equipment or buy a new phone which comes with call-blocking built in, that's what I have now.  The clls still come but they are stopped from ringing or from  more than 1 ring.
