Cleverly designed robo call. Ken Dougherty thing as others  I laughed and said you aren't real.... It responded.   Do I sound that bad?   I said what's 3 plus 3.   Completely baffled it and it disconnected/

Called 3-9-15 @ 1:50PM. Some sort of Police Fraternity calling to seek my money.  Obviously some sort of computer pretending to be a live person.  I asked it questions like, 'Are you wearing pants?' and 'Can I have a doughnut?' and it doesn't know how to respond.  It takes several seconds to try again, or "goes home" and starts the conversation all over again.  I had a lot of fun asking very personal questions of it, or stating complete gibberish like "Monkeys are made of cheese."  After several minutes of restarts, it hung up.

Caller ID stated L7 SRVC CALL.

I got one of these a week ago, and just let the machine pick it up. I called it back just for grins. No one picked up, I can't imagine why..

ID showed Minto ND. a hang up call. I called back only to hear female voice say If you wish to be placed on our do call list press one, i let it keep repeating for about 10 times then it hangs up. I called back about 10 times, which at least tied up their lines for 30 minutes.

It's the latest in the series of scammer choice ID.   We also got Wincoming.   Clever Robo call set up for response to your usual type of reply.   Just ask it what is 8 plus 7 or what is the capital of Texas and it cannot respond so it will shut off.

Received call 9:05 AM on a Saturday. Caller ID listed as "L7 SRVC CALL". Didn't answer and they left no message but with a name like that I'll take a guess it's the your-computer-has-a-problem scam. This seems to be the most popular one going around these days.

This call has a bad stench just from what appears on the ID. How likely is a legitimate call  coming from rural Minto, ND, population 600, be it bogus computer issues, or police donations? My guess is it's a disguised number to trick unsuspecting people into answering. Be on the safe side and avoid answering even with a machine if possible. Live numbers are money in scammers' pockets. The DNC registry repels legitimate telemarketers, but scammers , political calls, and real charities are exempt. My landline is hammered almost daily with unanswered, unknown calls.

    Computer AI scams
Of course, the phone rings and the panel shows "Unknown Name" and "Unknown Number"
I answer and say 'hello', then after the normal 2-3 seconds it takes for the line to be dispatched and linked to some dweeb in a call center, a voice says "Hi, this is Ken Dougherty". But it's pretty smooth.
So I say "Say something that proves to me you're not a computer".
After about 4-5 seconds the voice responds "Of COURSE I'm a real person" Yeah, after 4-5 seconds...
    So I say "F... you [***]"
The computer responds with "Are you making fun of me?"
    Then hangs up.
The AI is getting better and better...
