Got a call. They said I won 1000$ and they needed my adress and credit card.They told me they were in Florida and then I hung up on them. But I googled the 701 area code, and it's a North Dakota number. HATE scammers

Oh, and they called me on 1/14/11

Always ending with the same last 4 digits "8989". I never pick up, just send them straight to voice mail, but when I did look them up individually, which is every time they call me, it seems like they are the same people calling...Spanish Telemarketer of a sorts. I barely got a new phone and number and they already called me in the 802 number. They need to stop!! Just a heads up to everyone in here.

My 13-year-old son has been receiving calls on his cell.  These people are creeps.  His phone has been on the Do not call registry from the day he got it, but I guess scam artists don't care. . .

Contact his cell provider.  They may be able to block the calls.  

Or put the number in his contacts list and assign it the ring tone "no ring".  That won't stop the calls but it will make them easier to ignore.
