- NotYourDaySooooo, Where to begin? I just missed a call from them 10 mins ago and I have been receiving calls from this company for the past year. They typically open up with "Hi this is *blah* from the warranty department about your 2013 Kia Optima". From the get-go, I have always been one who pays attention to detail in conversation, so my first questions was "Sorry, "The Warranty Department", Do you work for Kia?"
They would answer again that they are from "The Warranty Department" and they are calling about my 2013 Kia Optima. I would let them speak for a bit, asking about the car and asking if I have extended the factory warranty. I would act concerned and let them go on some more, then I would inform them that:
1. Kia has one of the best warranty in the business (10 years. blah blah blah)
2. Then I would let them know that it was not even my car, as it was a lease
3. Then I would let them know that I had sold it a year ago (because I sold it to get the 2015 - which I did NOT tell them).
At that point, then they ask if I had any other vehicles that I would want to get a warranty for. I let them know that they are welcome to warranty my extremely old minivan with high mile if they would like? They politely decline and we part ways. I have had this conversation now at least 10 times. Each of which I ask to have my number removed from their call list and they inform me that they would. Yeah, well, we can see how that has worked out for me.
Have some fun, yall. Play with them. If they are willing to waste your time with their trash, you should waste theirs.- Caller: The Warranty Department

- It IS ALL A SCAM FOLKS!Its an organized scam.
They use a host, HOST, of numbers. No real company, all they want to do is sell you fake insurance and get your credit card info.
TELEMARKETING CALLS ARE ILLEGAL. Telemarketing scams are the new email spam. They call from spoofed or fake numbers for a reason. They want you to act on impulse. NEVER do business with telemarketers even charity telemarketers.
Report the calls, warn the gullible and the elderly and beware.- Caller: Dime a dozen.
- Karl Smith| 1 replyVerizon you are a disgrace to your customers. Selling customers database to scammers like this [***] for additional profits? Shame on Verizon and all the other phone companies. Damn you all to hell...
- nemisisSeveral calls a week. I usually just ignore and don't answer. Usually caller ID lists just a city/town (usually local towns ) (This was Las Vegas NV this time.) Some of the local numbers are from area towns that have less than 1000 population.. kind of a laugh. If I do answer, they usually have info about one of my vehicles. They will usually ask if I still have this vehicle, I just tell them I don't have it any longer. Unfortunately they keep calling. One thing I do is ask them to send me a copy of the contract first. (since it is considered an insurance product, the state requires an outline of coverage presented first.) I ask for one and they refuse. Then I say no, because they are violating state laws. Sometimes I will give them a blast with an air horn. I hope a lot of foreign sounding scammers have ruptured eardrums
- Call type: Telemarketer
- nemisis replies to Karl SmithIt's not just Verizon, almost everyone you have done business with sells your name. Then these scammers also sell your name to other scammers.
