- Worldwise Vacations & Tours, Inc.Owner is Mario Gonzalez and it is clearly stated on their website:

Maybe you should be taking up the issues directly with him. And YES, it's a scam and more than likely these employees make 100% commission and only see penny's of the money they swindle from people. They probably just got a list of people 75 and older to cold call on. The BBB really needs to do a more thorough investigation, especially since the address should be updated when a business moves. In addition, people need to file the complaints to impact their rating.
Best way to get travel deals is to go online ask any travel agent, if they are even still in business. A travel agent is best in assisting with paperwork needed to travel internationally and a tour operator is best in assisting with group travel arrangements or pre-set destinations. If their website looks unprofessional and you cannot search for the destinations, please meet the person face-to-face in their office.

- Gail replies to Lauren| 1 replyI just got a call from 702-749-6670 identifying themselves as World Wise Vacations. Mark Gilbert told me that I had just won 4 trips to Venice, Italy...Waikiki...Carnival Cruise and Las Vegas and that all
they needed from me was my checking account routing number. That it was a one time svc charge of
$1496.00. My reply was "I'm not giving you my routing number, I don't even know you!!! " He said he was insulted and how could I turn this down? I said "It's too good to be true...and I'm not giving you $1496.00". He then put Chuck on the phone who said how about $975. I said "no" then he said
$529. and I could put it on my credit card. "how about that" he said. I was going to hang up but wanted
to see how far he'd go. He said "How can I convence you to take advantage of this wonderful offer?"
And I replied with "For "0" money and you pay the airfare" He was literally speechless and then got
very serious with me and said "look, this is the opportunity of a lifetime...if you don't take this I will
give it to someone else who lives by you" I said, honestly......if I thought this was legit, I'd love it...
but I don't trust you....you shouldn't need money right away until I can have this confirmed" He
then said "God Bless You and I'll give this to someone else" and hung up abruptly.
You know there are legitimate giveaways are out there for trips etc. but I don't think they demand
money right away. - Jodie replies to GailYeah, they do. Much more than World Wise is offering for much better service, quality and destinations.

- Concerned Assisted Living OwnerI just found out that Worldwise tricked an elderly man that resides in one of my assisted living homes (who is incapable of travel and has no family/friends to gift the package to). This gentleman is on a fixed income and would never plan to travel or have anyone to purchase travel vouchers for. When I saw the number on the electronic numerous checks they claim he authorized by phone, I called the number and spoke with a very defensive and nervous sounding woman who told me I called them after business hours. She actually had an attitude that I called a toll-free number, she answered and I expected them to be open for business since she answered. If you are closed, DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE!! She was very rude and the vibe I got was not good. I told her that the bank has been notified that there have been unauthorized charges on the account and that he will be going to the bank in person to complete paperwork to initiate a fraud investigation and she said, "You better not!! He agreed to these charges and has received the packages by now. He needs to call us first before he goes to the bank and settle this with us because if he tries to say it is fraud, we will sue him." I was very disgusted with this woman. That's when I decided to go and research the company online and ran across numerous complaints of fraud, scams against people, namely the elderly. They, so far, have gotten upwards of $3000 from this elderly resident and he wouldn't have been aware at all because he is not alert enough to manage his own banking and affairs properly. I discovered it when I looked at an email notification I received from his bank that stated his daily balance was in the negative. Imagine how many others are being taken advantage of who don't have someone to advocate for them. I'm going to help my resident advocate for himself and encourage him to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law if they are found to have done something dishonest in an attempt to exploit a vulnerable adult. I take these things very seriously.
