Daily calls asking to our residential number asking for "the person in charge of paying the AT&T bills."  Response by me and my wife, with our without abusive language, do not do any good.

Why doesn't AT&T file a cease and desist against these scammers?  They call multiple times every single day to our place of business.

Have received three or four calls from these people claiming to be a service that AT&T has contracted to provide lower local phone bills.  Can find no news articles or write-ups on this supposed "agreement".  They usually talk over you and do not listen or give you any information when you try to engage.  Pretty sure this is a complete scam.  Avoid saying the words "Yes" or "No"!  You never know if they'll try to record you out of context.

This number has called at least once a day for the last year (excluding weekends) to ask for the person in charge of the AT&T account.  They listen to nothing I say.  They are actually calling my work number and I have explained that who pays the bill is the State of CA but they're idiots.

This is a company called Telplex. They change their spoofed number every few months so they can hide their illegal slamming activity. Other numbers they have called from include 987-654-3210, 888-123-3454, 702-665-6105. Do NOT talk to these people even in an attempt to get them to stop calling. They are not above lying to get what they want. And once they know your office is active they will call every day for months. They called our office every single day without fail from the beginning of February 2018 to mid October 2018. We have tried telling their employees we don't want their services. We have tried telling them to stop calling. We have "been put on a no call list" several times and have still received calls. Telplex is attempting to steal your lines from your phone/internet provider and they will do so as long as they have any recording of you saying yes or okay even if it's not in context. They edit your recorded phone call and steal your lines, then send you a huge bill. If you talk to a Telplex agent at all, please call your own phone/internet provider and lock down your lines.

They call from different phone numbers almost daily. Want to speak to the person in charge of the ATT phone bill about a rate change. Have asked them to stop calling and if there is a change to our ATT phone bill they need to send it in writing. Can not get them to stop calling.

Another poster asked why doesn't AT&T have a cease and desist served on these jerks. I think the likely reason is because AT&T is behind it. They outsource their customer service to anybody willing to pay. So from their point of view this is legit. Just my opinion, but I really can't think of any other reason AT&T would allow this to go on. The problem isn't these scammers, the problem is AT&T allowing, even encouraging this stuff.

This scam is one of the most persistent of all. They have been calling our business number for ages. Our number is answered only by voice mail, a fact which is stated clearly when voice mail answers. Yet they continue to call from various numbers, and hang up when they don't get a real person. The name that comes up on CID is "(ONNP) TELECOM G." If the idiots would listen to the message, they'd know that there will never be a live person answering our number.

Lady asked to speak to the person in charge of our ATT bill.  I asked if she was from ATT and she said they had a contract with ATT.  I told her we were not interested and she said "Well you are not the one in charge of the bill, so I'll keep calling back"  I never told her that!  Ha!
