We've been getting calls all week and don't answer because we do not recognize the number.  No message left when answering machine picks-up.

This number has called 3 times this week. Each time I pick up the phone no one answers. I just hear noise in the backround.   I tried calling the number back and it just keeps ringing and ringing.

They just called, no message, glad I came here first. wont answer when they call back saved as a contact  "Grifter Jerks - Don't answer" and set it to have no ring - similar to my ex girlfriend's entry. love this site! will come back if I learn anything new

I got 2 missed phone calls in 2 months on this number.  I just blacklisted them using "Call Control"  for blackberry.

Our number has received several calls from this number.  Tried calling back but no contact.
I reported on the Do Not Call Website.  Harrassing in nature during all times of days and week.
Please help.

block on this number.  I also filled a complaint on the Do Not Call Website.  Hopefully someone
will go after this bunch.  From the postings lots of folks having issues as well.  Good luck.

I have just recently started receiving calls from this number...no one picks up and no message is left.

Received call today from this number who left no message.  This site helped clear mystery..thanx.

Call received 8/28/10 7:45pm edt and again today 1:01pm.  Shows this tn and listed as MCGUIRE RES     SR.  Yesterday said hello several times and then the caller hung up.  Today caller hung up just as I answered.  These calls came in to my landline in Georgia.

I have gotten this call now 2 days in a row. It came up Nevada call both times. I need to remember not to pick up when it's someone I don't know and let the answering machine get it.

I've gotten calls from this number 3x a day for the last 4 days.  They let it ring once, then it stops (so my phone always has "missed call from 702-430-6711 on it).  I don't ever answer from this number anyway.

I tried calling them from Gmail Phone (which shows them a 706 number, not mine!) and I got an answering machine that said:

"Hello, you've reached McGuire Research, our office ours are 9am -5:30pm Monday thru Friday, please leave a msg after the beep."  

I'd like to know why, if their hours are from 9-5:30, why am I getting calls after 6pm????

Lame scammers.  They probably only want you to answer the phone so they can run a trace on the call and mirror your number to telemarket across the country.  It works like this:  a telemarketer (scammer) calls your cell or home number.  They run a "mirror" program on it as soon as you answer---the reason they call is bogus.  The "mirror" program allows them to call ANYONE in the U.S. under the radar because it's YOUR number that pops up on the other victims caller ID.  This allows the crooks to sell to people who have blocked numbers or limited access and a variety of other reasons.   I had people that I did not know calling me for weeks saying "yeah, i got seven calls from your number today and I wanted to see who was calling me."  I had to explain that I never made those calls.  I linked the problem to a "free cruise" call from Florida that stole my number and then used it to make collection calls.

Yeah you get these calls from this number and some more...Let me let you in on the story...
First this is not telemarketing-- it's surveys with no soliciting for money; THEREFORE the "Do Not Call" list doesn't apply, repeat.. DOES NOT APPLY.. So Sorry to burst your bubble there...you really think your politicians are going to affect any thing with legislation that directly affects their political livelihood??? Really.
And cause you people tend to answer the phones in the afternoon to evening hours they cll then...and all day weekends. All though there is no time set in stone when not to call, most stay away from calling before 9am or stop after 9;30pm (however some states 10;30pm).
Also most companies do not leave messages...cause that don't get them what they need...And thus you keep getting calls, cause this is a possible survey when we get a person.
Also picking up the phone and hanging up doesn't stop the calls either...this is possible survey number...
Now by answering and being RUDE could  result in the worker putting your number as a call back to get survey.
Answer the phone and politely refuse or ask to remove from our call list...or just take a few minutes and help the person who actually is trying to do a job that nobody wants to do but has to do to get by in this economy so we are not living on the streets...And give your opinion to someone who actually wants to hear it...just as long as you answer our questions as well..and just only " I don't know" answers don't fly.
Now be advised we got your number from public record...VOTER Registration where you filled out the info....so every time the company gets a client that needs to poll so many people in that area your number may come up. So...don't get mad at the poor person trying to do their job wanting to know where we got your name number address and more...YOU gave it to us via public record.
SO Let ME Recap...Public Opinion Polls or Surveys with no monetary requests are not affected by the do not call list. ( kinda like using a stater pistol for personal safety...might look good, but doesn't work when really need it. And gives you false sense of safety)

I got a call to my cell from this number yesterday and then again today. I tried calling back and it rang and rang about 9 times and then I got a message saying they weren't able to answer. What a bunch of poop! Can't something be done since this number is such a nuisance?

Got a call from this number this afternoon. My caller ID said "Opinion Poll" and I was not aware of
any problems associated with this number.   After several "hellos?", some guy comes on--says his name
is Ray.  He says he's conducting a poll on the secretary of state, has some questions for me.  I said
"Okay".  Then he says "You're such a nice person" and hung up.  Now I am all creeped out.   Called
my phone company and they said as long as no confidential stuff was given to them, I'm okay.  But
I'm still creeped out.
