I just recieved a text a text from them about a casting call for major kids network and to call that number, i immediately called but they refused to talk to me until i had a parent with me, so right now i am in a waiting process to see if they are legit.

If you have to pay them to get into modeling or whatever it's definitely a scam . Don't waste your money on liars . They aren't real modeling professionals or whatever they claim to be

I got a similar message for a casting call in Neraska and I live in Missouri. The only way you can possibly get one of these jobs is if you pay at least $70. Do not fall for this it is a SCAM. Just an online website trying to get people's money. If you get an email, send it to the spam folder and if they text you, text back STOP immediatey.

It is not a scam. I actually had signed up to receive those kinds of messages. I got the $800 a day message. I believe it.

These "modeling jobs" sound a lot like the "acting jobs tryouts" that hit my area a few years ago.  

The way it works, no matter how ugly you are or how awkwardly you walk or how utterly unsuitable you are for the job you are they tell you that you are great.  To get a fantasitc job, paying several thousand dollars per month, you just need a little training and some professional photographs.  Which the would be happy to sell you for $5000, probably more.  

You pass the class.  You get the photographs.  And they mail you a photocopy from the "help wanted" section of the Los Angeles Times news paper.  They do not help you find a job.  They just move to another city and recruit more victims.  

What they do is deceptive and sneaky, but it is not illegal.

I got a call from them last week about castings down here in Miami! I was a little skeptical at first but I called them back, set up a profile and I'm going to the audition tomorrow! It's for a huge bikini line that would be seen nationwide. I cant even tell you how excited i am.

Are you guys all aspiring models too? I would call them back! It definitely made my week :)

Never pay a company/person for these types of services. Legit Casting places, Model/Singer/Actor etc, already have agreements with Production Companies for pay.They are paid to cast the project and the production will pay the talent.  Of course for Head Shots, you pay the photographer, but never ever pay for the company to give you a list of castings.Explore Talent ans other places like this are scams. I am speaking on this as a legit working actress in this business. If you are on the east coast, check out patmorancasting.com,betsycasting.com and centralcastingusa.com as well as sag.org to find your city for local casting companies.
