After they would not tell me what my pending matters were, they called my office, where I am the boss and refused to talk to me. I filed a complaint with the FTC.

I received several calls from this number, it is a scam!!!! The sad thing is that it is several people who are involved with this scam. I called several times yelling telling them to not call me again, each time they would hang up. They claim to be a legal organization that has been assigned to create and investigation and to do a background check on you and serve you. This is a full blown lie. Private investigators need to be hired in order to make a proper investigation and they is usually hired by attorney's or private citizens. By law in order to serve you they have to hire a serving process business or the person who is suing has to find someone besides themselves to find you and hand you a summons and that is it, the court takes over after that. Their is no other way to serve a person legally. They cannot call your work or family that is considered harassment. Plus these fraudulent people are in Nevada, by law, if you are being sued it is by the court that has jurisdiction over the situation. Don't believe these lies, it is crap, I know, I have worked for attorney's

Same.  They said if I don't respond, that a complaint would be filed with my County.  I was tempted to call, but I've received similar calls in the past and ignored it.  This one sounded more convincing though.  Glad I thought to check the #.  They told me to call them back at (702) 534-6202 and gave me a case #.  The call was from (605) 413-1500.  They said they needed to verify my address and place of employment.  If I called and gave them that info, they would then show up at my workplace?  Some people should honestly just get a job instead of praying on hard working people!

Called for my roommate's ex-wife. They divorced 20+ years ago. Same BS. "3 pending cases... verifying employment and address..." it is a soft spoken male voice with a recorded "case number" inserted mid-sentence. The man said if she fails to call them back she “the case will proceed without you”. Total, utter non-sense. Ignore these idiots and dson't give them the satisfaction of calling back.

IF you call that number they ID themselves as "AA Processing".  Lady I talked to got an attitude and immediately hung up when I pressed her for more information.   Seem like serious debt scamming thugs to me.   Ignore and block these calls.   No idea at present, where they are located.

The 605-413-1500 mentioned in Terri's entry dated ,
26 Oct 2017 (this thread)  shows a CID of AAS (Allocation Adjustment Services)  This AAS has an extensive history of debt scamming on 800notes.
    ____________________
Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

    1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
    2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
    3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

If they are bothering you, report them:

http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a  violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.)  The same goes for endless telephone harassment

Note that the US Supreme Court in the Case of HENSON ET AL. v. SANTANDER CONSUMER USA INC., has recently ruled that the provisions of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act do not apply if the creditor owns the debt in question.  As a practical matter this probably won't effect the kinds of scam debt collectors who often show up on 800notes.  The scam collectors don't give you any information about themselves so it is impossible to know whether or not they in fact "own" the debt in question.  Most do not send debt validation letters and many often say they are collecting for someone else.  So, make the complaint anyway if they are bothering you.  Let the FTC sort it out.

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.  Tell 'em  no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.

You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking).   the only thing they understand.

These people called my family and harrased them yesterday from an old address that I lived at in Orlando and when I asked her for information she was not giving it to me. I told her that I no longer have that bank account and it has been closed for over four years. I know I did not take out a payday loan and when I stated I have never received any information...she hung up the phone.
I have blocked their number and called my attorney

These people are pieces of [***]. They called me from (702) 534-6202 asking for $1000.00 and that they have a complaint on me, and when I ask about the name of the company, their business number, and what the complaint was for they refused to answer. Once I told them that I was broke and homeless these [***] still were adamant about a payment plan. Got transferred to there fake ass lawyer who said we can settle with a payment plan. What lawyer sets up payment plan. All these stupid ass people. Moral of the story is these people get frustrated when you ask them questions and they can’t answer it. Also please notice they all use old addresses they have on you which can easily be found on the internet.
