- WizeGuy| 1 replyI just got a call from these folks. The man on the phone said that he was from the Windows help desk. He had a thick Indian accent and was difficult to understand. He asked me some personal information which I avoided giving him by turning the questions on him. He also wanted me to get on my computer so he could give me instructions on how to fix a supposed problem with my computer. This sounded really fishy to me so I asked him for his phone number. He gave me 702.583.5515. I asked him where he was calling from and he said Las Vegas. I was afraid that the 702 number was from a foreign country so I looked it up on google and found this website. I'm so glad that I didn't go along with him!!!
- Caller: Don't know
- Ck replies to WizeGuyI love messing with these guys. I run Mac so I knew immediately it was a scam. Apparently it's a "family" including Mark, Daniel and Harry Wilson and their unnamed "sister" who all work for "Windows Computer".
Harry was apparently reading from a script because he got very frustrated when I asked questions. At least they are smart enough to give a real phone number knowing we can easily track them. - Seymore ClearlySame as above. Funny! heavy Indian accent Name Jason Wilson. Do not allow access unless you call for it.
- Caller: Micro soft help and support
- RhondaI received a call tonight pretty much the same as the others. The man with an Indian accent said he was calling about my windows computer.... Haha anyway he kind of had me thinking because we did call tech support for hp and Microsoft account but the reason he was calling for was strange. He said that my computer was sending error messages when I was shopping and sending emails.... Haha I mean when I see unknown on the caller I'd I automatically assume its a scam or telemarketer so they have to prove that they aren't and no one has yet. I told him I didn't have my computer and he asked if he could call back and I said sure but I still won't have my computer why don't I take your name and number and I'll call you back. He said his name was Eric Von or bond so I asked him to spell it he didn't understand so a asked him if it was v o n or b o n d he said it was bond haha with that accent... Anyway I hung up and searched the number and here it is.;) wow what a dummy.....:-/

- andreaSame thing... wanted to fix my computer. I took down his number. Knew it was a scam.
- Saved by an errandGot a call on 4-2 from a man with heavy accent claiming to be with Windows 7 something or other. Very difficult to understand but he was promising to fix my computer problem.
What made it plausible was that only an hour before I had been on the phone with Microsoft trying to resolve a problem with Internet Explorer. Had not yet resolved the problem when I got this call so at first I thought perhaps MS had passed my problem on. I described my problem--as best I could understand it would be a free fix for a minor problem or tech would charge for something more complicated (sounds suspicious right there). I allowed as we might look into it but I had an errand to run and lacked the time. In any event he gave me to someone who spoke decent English and I said I lacked the time at the moment, would he give me a phone number so I could call back when I had more time. He gave me 702-583-5515. I asked if I should give whoever answered my call back my Microsoft Case Number. He just said to ask for John Matthews.
The combination of someone I could barely understand and the clue (to me) that they had no clue about a case number caused me to google the number and now I see my suspicions are confirmed. But it sure was coincidental (?) they called an hour after I was on the phone with Microsoft tech...- Caller: 702-583-5515

- donnajust received a call from 704-583-5515. I was told my computer was leaking my facebook and emails when i browse the internet. The mans name was Daniel from Las Vegas,Nevada. I asked what country he was from because of a very heavy Indian(sounding) accent. He knew the owners' name on my computer and told me he had my id# also. He claimed to work for Windows Operating Center. I kept asking questions which seemed to really annoy him. He insisted on calling back to speak with my husband after i told him i was on google researching his number. By the way, I don't have a facebook account!!!!!
- Caller: windows operating center
- Becky WhiteI received a call from a man saying he was with Microsoft Help and support. He said my microsoft account was being used illegally - microsoft servers were receiving illegal pings, viruses, etc. and if I did not download Teamviewer.com I could be facing legal charges,.
I did not download it. I said I did not know who he was.
He said he was Senior Operating ... with Microsoft Help and Support and to call 702-583-5515 to confirm who he was and to ask for him - Sam Wilson. I did not call. This is the second call I have received about this.
He says our account was hacked by heartbleed.
He was rude ... loud ... almost yelling. I did not believe he was with MS,- Caller: Microsoft help and support
- Jersey GirlThis is the second time I've received a call from these people. They say they are the Help and Support Center for Windows and that my computer has been leaking personal information, I have corrupt files and a lot of junk files that are slowing down my computer. They say they are provided with all the information from Windows when you registered your software. When I kept pressuring him about giving me the phone number to the company he said "What's the big deal?" I answered by saying "That's how you speak to your clients?" He gave me his number, which by the way does not show up on caller ID, and I googled it. I'm glad I found this website! The phone number comes from Nevada, I'm from New Jersey.
- Allen| 1 replyIt's hard to believe this scam artist has been using his own phone number for so long and getting away with this pathetic scam. Isn't there some way to put this guy behind bars where he belongs? I got a call at my work number from a man (with thick Indian accent) who identified himself as Mack (later Mack Martin) from Microsoft Corp. He told me that my computer had been compromised and my personal data was being leaked onto the Internet. He then proceeded to tell me he would be able to repair my computer by remote access... with my help. I asked him to verify he was from Microsoft, and he proceeded to "prove" he was authentic by reading me my computer ID by phone -- 32 characters of nonsense. I told him I would work with him only if he gave me a callback number. He did, I looked up his number online and found this site. I then proceeded to call him back. When he answered (as a Microsoft technician) I suggested he get a job and stop scamming people. No response! Stay away from this pretentious thief. I hope he gets caught and prosecuted some day.
- Caller: Microsoft - Windows Help Center
- ChristyThe same heavy Indian accent with the name Mack, contacted me today. I kept saying I could not understand him and if he was from MicroSoft or a company to support then let me speak to a Supervisor or someone who could at least speak english or spanish. I did not give him any information and asked for a call back number and an employee ID. He provided me with this number but the call came thru as Private Caller.
- Bryon CarterI got a call from a scammer who claims to be a Microsoft Engineer and he has identified problems with my computer.
I got his number and googled it...he has a long history of doing this.
Can you stop it?- Caller: Spammer - Criminal
- Jeri replies to AllenI received the same male caller . He identified himself as Alan Cooper . Said I was also was
leaking personal info over the internet. This is my 8 or 9th call. I repeatedly said to remove my name and not call again yet he continues to call. I contacted Microsoft and they confirmed this is a scam. There should be a law against this phone harassment. Luckily I have not given any info. - JeffI received a call (Unknown Caller) from a man with a thick Indian accent who claimed that my information was "leaking" out onto the internet. He had me pull up my errors file and sure enough there were errors. I went along with him as I figured as long as I didn't give him access to my computer there wasn't much he could do. He "proved" that he was legit and had my information by saying my first and last name. He called off a very long number: 888DCA .... and said it was my computer's Microsoft ID number and instructed me how to find it on my computer. Sure enough it matched. He proceeded to request remote access via AMMYY to fix these problem related to the Heartbleed issue. When I pulled up the web page he said "you can see our clients." For their part, AMMYY has posted that there are scammers using their software to scam people.
http://www.ammyy.com/en/admin_mu.html
I did initially allow access by AMMYY but did not go through with it. I told him that I had stuff to do and had to go. He said that if I disconnected now it would damage my computer which, of course, can't be true as I never started the process. I asked for a name and number to call him back which he gave as Daniel at 702-583-5515. He even gave his ID as 2156 and asked when he could call back. Be very suspicious of this caller.- Caller: Microsoft - Windows Help Center
- VonI just received a call from this number 702-583-5515 and was told that since I was a Microsoft customer, they could help me because my computer was "sending out error messages to their system and they would be able to help me fix it." He had a very heavy accent and his name was Jason. I told him that I would have to do this later because I was very busy and I asked for a call back number.
- Caller: Microsoft - Windows Help Desk
- naive no moreGot a call from oriental man, Sam Wilson, from this number stating he was with Microsoft. He said my gateway was open and all that I was buying and doing on line was open for hackers to see, then he wanted remote access to clean up my computer. He cleaned it up all right! And under cooersion sold Opton PC Care. Well, long story short. I took my computer to trusted professionals who removed SPYWARE from my computer! While I was there several victims were in the same distress. They also claim to be with Norton Anti Virus.
If you receive one of these calls report to your local police so they can broadcast this SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- Caller: Scammers

- frustratedI have received several calls from this "family". I have a mac and just downloaded Microsoft Office on my desktop. I had just recently had some issues with an internet sight my kids were on crashing my computer. So when this guy called and said he was with Microsoft, whom I just registered software with, called and said I was at risk of crashing... I was inclined to take him seriously. Thankfully I wasn't home during the 1st call and I had the chance to talk to my much more tech savvy husband about the call before they called back. He suggested I google the number. I didn't get around to it until they called again today. I tried to talk to them, trying to understand the instructions through the heavy accent. WhenI told them I had a mac they hung up. So I called them back, when it came up that I had a mac again... they hung up. All very suspicious, so I googled the number and this sight came up. So glad they hung up on me!!!
- TLCEAGLEA man with a heavy Indian accent called and said that there was a problem with downloading Microsoft updates to my Windows PC, and that I needed to log on so he can help me fix it. I asked him if he thought I just fell off a Turnip Truck, but I don't think he understood the reference. I said if I have a problem with Microsoft, all I need to do is go to their website and they will be very happy to help me, so I don't understand why he is bothering me. He gave me a very long number and said that this was my computer number so he could prove that he had the right info. I explained I have five Windows machines, and have no idea what that number is. I asked who he worked for, he said Optonus(?). Asked why he was calling about Microsoft? he said that they are the technical support company for Microsoft. I said I'm too busy for his scam right now. He said I should call his supervisor back at 702-583-5515. I said no, I'm still too busy. He said if I don't call, he will call me tomorrow. I said I'm on the do not call list and that he should not call me again. He was very frustrated with me that I refused his "help" (to my personal information and money, I suppose). He said he is in Las Vegas. It is an LV area code, but he and the other telemarketers in the background all sounded like they had heavy accents.

- Bob| 1 replySo...apparently these guys have people's Windows ID # and their phone number. Perhaps they stole a database of this info from a manufacturer?
Anyways, we got this call, more or less as described by everyone else here. Obviously, a scam.
If they are actually in NV, I certainly hope someone calls the local cops; this is an obnoxious fraud.- Caller: Indian Scammers from Nevada
- Slim replies to Bob>> So...apparently these guys have people's Windows ID # and their phone number. <<
No, they do not have the ID#
Instead, they show the mark a bunch of normal CLSID codes, one of which is common to all windows machines.
