Jasmine at portfolio recovery continues to call after being told repeatedly to cease communication.  I used to work in collections and know the laws and rules.  One day Jasmine, they will send your job to India like they did mine.   The economy is booming, jump off the sinking ship and find a job where you can actually help people.

If you "used to work in collections" then you should know that cease comm should be sent in writing by certified, return receipt mail. I hope you have since gotten some ethics and morals and have found an honest job.

702-628-9607 Portfolio Recovery they call from so many different numbers and they call any day of the week any hour of the day I've had them as late as 11:00 at night they've been asked not to call I've sent them letters stating not to call and they still do it even after there's been a lawsuit against them for this.

Have you sent them certified, return receipt? If so have you filed complaints with the cfpb, the ftc, and your state attorney general? Have you consulted a  lawyer to sue them yourself as is your right under the law?

I sure did Dan.  I look back on those days of my life and frown.  It was one of those jobs where you only do it for the money.  Once I found something I loved to do, I started at the bottom and worked my way up.  I am a much happier person now.  Hopefully jasmine can find her way out of the mire like I did.
