I got a call from them at 10 AM on 8/27/2009, so they're certainly a busy bunch. Thanks "Chef in Wasau" for the FCC number; I'll call them so there will be multiple complaints.

They called and there was nothing on the other end of the line....said "HELLO" for like 10 seconds then I hung up...looked it up on GOOGLE and found all of you guys/gals that have been called by the same number.

Called and said they had important information regarding my account. A man said they would lower my credit card interest. When I asked what credit card they hung up.

Just got a call from them (9:20 am), did not answer and they left no message.  Glad I looked on here before calling them back.  I'm in Arkansas by the way.

Their phone robot continues to call. My phone robot continues to block their calls. And the circle of life is complete.

ok so this random number calls me and leaves no voicemail so i think...maybe i should google it. so i do and end up here only to find out im one of many being bothered by these people. its 930 a.m. and im in Texas. what is it they are trying to do and why are we on the list?

I just recieved the same call from the same number.... No Mssg left.. Not calling that one back.

I received a call on my cell phone which I let go to VM. I listened and it sounded like someone forgot to hang up because I could hear music playing like in a car or something.

These people call me constantly.. there has to be a way to stop them from scamming people.

Woke up this morning to see i had a missed call from this number which that i didn't know so i googled it and end up here. They didn't leave a voice mail or anything. I would of loved to cuss them out and give them a piece of my mind cuz i dont even have a credit card.

This is an automated call that rolls thru the phone book... it came into my work phone under this number and "unknown name".  I did not answer, but it left a msg about lowering payments... DELETE.  RIGHT after that, another call came to my home phone (work from home)... same thing, but it said "private number" "private name".  Same BS.  Someone in the phone company should take away their phone rights.

I got a call asking me to _call now about my VISA, MC or AMEX_.
They did not point to an opt out.
What a waste of time.

I got a call about an hour ago. I asked the representative how did she get my number and she just kept reading her prompts. Then I asked again and she responded "I just told you, you dumb [***]" I asked to speak to her manager and she hung up. I called back and only to hear a message asking to be taken off the no call list.

Called this morning 9:30 am PST and left no message. I returned the call from my work phone and got a recording to be removed from the lest press 1 but anything else hung up so to have your cell removed you have to call from it...no way!!

Gov't addresses `robocall' annoyance with new ban

The Federal Trade Commission said Thursday it is banning many types of prerecorded telemarketing solicitations, known as robocalls. Currently, consumers must specifically join a do-not-call list to avoid them. Starting Sept. 1, telemarketers will first need written permission from the customer to make such calls.

Violators will face penalties of up to $16,000 per call.

Don't expect phone solicitations to disappear completely, though.

Calls that are not trying to sell goods and services to consumers will be exempt, such as those that provide information like flight cancellations and delivery notices and those from debt collectors.

Other calls not covered include those from politicians, charities that contact consumers directly, banks, insurers, phone companies, surveys and certain health care messages such as prescription notifications. The FTC said those don't fall under its jurisdiction.

And calls made by humans rather than automated systems will still be allowed, unless the phone number is on the National Do Not Call Registry.

People who get an unauthorized call can file complaints with the commission online or by calling 1-877-FTC-HELP.

"If consumers think they're being harassed by robocallers, they need to let us know, and we will go after them," Leibowitz said.
