    Electricity in our state is deregulated and all these companies (some legitimate, some not) have been trying to get us to drop Commonwealth Edison for our electricity service and choose them.  We would still get billed by ComEd, and ComEd would still take care of the transmission lines and outages, but these other companies would bill us (a la ComEd) for the electricity we use.  They claim their rate is oh so very low compared to ComEd.  Maybe that's only an introductory rate.  Who knows.  What I do know is this -- this particular company is making ILLEGAL telemarketing calls and is going to be reported to www.donotcall.gov.
