- VictoriaGirl replies to joynernbWhoever your cell phone provider is, thats who sold your number to these scumbags. I got a call at 10am march 13th on my cell phone and of course they left a very lengthy voice mail message. Also Im on pre-paid so that ate up quite a bit of money.
- Pete| 4 repliesFolks,
Don't keep adding a comment saying just "They called me too..." That just isn't helpful.
If you have information about the company such as their name, what they sell, how many times they have called you etc., that IS useful.
They are a telemarketing company. They offer two free tickets to Nassau, Bahamas IF you answer ten LONG questions. It is a machine making the call, not a human. I didn't get the name of the company.- Caller: Unknown
- Call type: Telemarketer
- VPJust got a call on my cell at 1:13 pm in Edmonton, AB. I don't answer numbers that I don't know. This number is a marketing number located from Las Vegas, Nevada. I have now blocked that number.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- LeanneWish I knew how to block calls on my cell...ugh. Thought I was free from spam calls on my cell... used to it on my home phone. Didn't answer this #... they've called the past 2 days in a row.
- LaurabearCalled from Los Vegas Nevada. I've had calls from several other cities in various states. It's been going on for a few weeks. I never answer. So annoying

- vengeance will be mine...| 1 replyOh yes, vengeance will be mine. After receiving several BS calls from 702-705-5219, I traced the number to determine that the # is registered as a cellular #. I then took that information & cross referenced the associated name against the American Social Insurance Registry to determine the billing address of the caller. I then contacted the Nevada State Registrars office & had them confirm the address of an "old friend" (I work for an online reverse phone number search site so this was quite easy). They are located in Clark County, Las Vegas, Nevada - I'll be willing to share address details if anyone is interested. Today, with the help of my kids & their friends (all off school for spring break), we personally packaged all the junk coupons we could gather from our neighborhood apartment buildings & were able to STUFF 253 envelopes with said junk mail (& empty candy wrappers) & address them all to our new friend's address. I have placed the first 25 envelopes in the mailbox this afternoon & will continue to do so daily until I run out. Depending on whether or not I feel satisfied when the supply is gone will determine how often I repeat the process. (IE: keep calling me & I'll keep mailing you!)
Seems crazy? Not to me! I'm sick & tired of the lack of respect for humanity displayed by the scum sucking weasels operating such shoddy "businesses". Most businesses are proud to publicly display their information as this is a great (imperative, really) way to grow a business. SO, when hiding from the public, such as my new pen-pal(s) at 702-705-5219, one must assume the motive is of fraudulent intent.
Let's face it, we're all annoyed by these calls - that's why we're on this site. Imagine how annoyed the spammers would be if I could convince even as few as 100 other people across North America to join my efforts in becoming pen-pals with these losers!
If the law can't/won't protect us from things such as this (which, by the way, are deemed illegal in many parts of North America), then I see no reason to not interact with the spammers by courteously returning the favor of supplying time wasting garbage.
Oh, one more thing; Telus IS selling our cellular phone numbers to American based spammers - despite our contractual agreements wherein Telus states that they will not do this (cross-border legal loop-hole as it was explained). I contacted Telus this morning & successfully demanded this month's bill be waived as I'm not willing to pay for marketing phone calls they are responsible for (this is MY cell phone, not THEIR marketing platform - if they want to use it as a marketing platform then I will hold them accountable for the cost).
It's up to you Telus; are you a cellular provider or a marketing platform. Do your consumers a favor & let us know before we all get angry enough to switch to a more reputable carrier.- Caller: Las Vegas (Clark County), Nevada Spammers
