received call from this number several times, but no one answers from other side

i live in calgary and i get several calls fro area code 702-705-5296 every day" Telus" wake up and do somthing.Never answered the phone

This is the new type of scam for telemarketers and fraudulent telemarketers, the use these call forwarding companies to get around the rules in place. We have a new one operating out of York region 310 area code.

I wish this number would stop calling me!!

Yep. Got a call today again at 10:50 but they got an earfull of a fax machine. (Thanks USRobotics <EG>).

Yesterday at 1:45 appeared on call display while I was out. No message on answering machine.

Calgary

Called first time on Friday night and now Monday morning in Calgary.  Call display shows 702-705-5296 and Nevada.  We never pick up for numbers we do not recognize.  Also we no longer use an answering machine so the telemarketers seem to give up on our number faster than when we still had one.  It's still annoying with all the harassing numbers calling from all over Canada and the States.

Just received a call from this number, Eco energy, first one for me. Someone with a bad accent asked for me and quoted an incorrect address. Hung up when I said not at that address.

How do they make any money when they don't even answer if you DO pick up?  Sometimes I have, just to tell them to stop calling, but there's nobody there, so I hang up immediately.  I'm in Calgary.

They called me twice on March 28, 2013. A month later I saw their number on my phone bill, and noticed that I've been charged for the call THEY made! So ****ing unfair!!!!

Received several calls from this number in the past two days.  Searching the web for this number indicates they first targeted Ontario as "Ontario Eco Energy (ontarioeconergy.ca)".  From previous post (and the web) I see they're now targeting Alberta (albertaeconergy.ca); likely due to the province being associated with energy.  I only use a cell phone so I black listed / report the number with the Call Control app.

Received a call today from this org. the toll free number the called provided is answered as Ontario Eco Energy, not sure why they are calling Albertans.

Just received a call from this number.  A heavily accented female asked to speak to <my surname>.  I asked what she wanted and she then wanted to validate my address and also that I was the homeowner.  When I refused, she immediately hung up.

Come on voters....oops...I meant people,.......it's a free and just society and putting these scammers to work provides employment. Otherwise they'd be sitting on the curb drinking beer...which also provides employment!

same bs is happening to me they call I answer no reply from them. I say hello 3 times then hang up ; If I amnot home they call and don't leave a msg this is harassment something should be done. I will buy a bull horn next time they call I will blast it in their ear lol

got a call from these jokers at 5:10pm, answered it, but they don't speak. Outfits like this will use often quite sophisticated technology because they only need a very few people to respond and they make a fortune! Stay well away.

I called the number back and got a recording that said "Thank you for calling back. If you are not interested and would like to be put on our no call list please press 1 now"
No calls for two days now...

OK folks, I am fed up with unwanted telemarketers and have been coming up with ideas on how to stop them.
First thing is, these TM's are paid by the number of people they get subscribed so if we say yes, have your agent come by for the 'free' assessment, the company is on the hook to pay for each visit.

Than, instead of giving out my home address, I give them the address to a local Police station.  Also when they ask for my name, I give them 'Bob Sergeant'.

So imagine this: the company that pays for the TM for the outobund calls than pays again for each appointment booked.  The company than goes on the appt and ends up at the local Police station.

thoughts if this would work to stop these unwanted and criminal pests?
