    This is the latest SCAM.  Unlike most telemarketers, there was no dead-air time before the caller started talking.  This SCAM is for a medical alert system - one of those "I've fallen and can't get up" sort of things.  And the best part is - they tell you it's been paid for by a friend or relative, and all you have to do is pay for the shipping.  Needless to say, they will ask for your credit card number.  Give it to them and you are toast - your identity will be stolen so fast your head will spin.  

    Never, ever, give out a credit card number over the phone.
