Get a DIGITONE Call Blocker. You can block any type of calls, unknown, by area code, individual number, etc. They ring once and that's it, they are blocked!

The Digitone is overpriced and under-capable, as you well know, Mr Digitone spammer. (Welcome back. What is this, your 100th user name? Happy anniversary.)

The Digitone costs $100 and blocks 80-140 numbers (depending on which model you have). The T-lock Incoming PRO Call Blocker sells for under 60 bucks on Amazon and can block up to 1500 numbers. (There other similarly priced devices available, too.) If you are willing to replace your phone many are now available with blocking features and the ability to block a lot of numbers.

You can set up a Google phone account for free (with easily configurable call blocking) and get your home calls forwarded there.

If you have a home office or just have a home computer on most of the time Phone Tray Free software  may work for you. As the name implies, it's free. Furthermore, it can block on the Caller ID *name* (like "Card Services" or "Lower Interest") not just the number. They no longer have the free version on the company web site but it's widely available via torrent.

No need to send the Digitone spammers any of your hard earned money.

Well said Sir Bedevere, Well said!  I see this with the phones also which I feel are seriously lacking in the amount of blocking ability's and over priced also.  I think the call blocking devices are much better and way more numbers can be blocked hands down in that area.

 Got a 12/21/13 my caller ID showed CTY,my call notes picked it up. A woman named Betty said she was with the shipping dept with Senior citzen's program and wanted to schedule a time for delivery of my medical alert device and I also get $3000.00 worth of coupons to use at most grocery store or other places I shop.She also stated, I got this because someone either in my family or friend may have fallen and has used in past,and all of this has already been paid for, even the shipping.My brother got the same call a week earlier.

Just got the call.  Recorded female voice wanting to,set up a delivery time for my medical alert system and $3,000 worth of grocery coupons.  Caller ID  said "CTY." I hung up on the recording and filed a complaint with the DO NOT CALL LIST.

Shame, shame on them !  I hate when people abuse, yes abuse, seniors, children and animals. How far must they sink. I tried to tell her I wasn't a senior and she just kept on going so I hung up. I am so angry right now that I could spit !!

They said they had an alert bracelet and $3000 grocery vouchers etc. I tried to tell her she need not call, that nobody here ordered or wants it yet she continued to blather on w/o regard to me talking. I had to yell and swear at her for her to pause a second, stupid reading from a page commission iditos, and then she started blathering more BS. [***].

The only reason the medic alert for seniors scammers call us, is to get our credit card numbers, so they can cheat us!

I am going to the Fed Website to turn this number in but they just don't stop calling.

I am SICK TO DEATH OF THESE SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!!!  I can handle it by screaming at them and not paying an ounce of attention to their [***] but I think about the old pp who actually think that calls like this one are real and that they are SUPPPOSED to be setting up appt.s with these [***].

You're an idiot.  The Do Not Call Registry is a joke.  Bill is correct.  Comparing laws applicable to bank robbery and DNC is ubsurd.

By all means, remove your number and open up your phone number to all the legal business's as well then.. But you might try actually reading what its about first, most have not or did not, they just figured it means stop all calls period..

The DNC does do its job and works just fine! It does what it was meant to do. It does not protect you from the crimnals, scammers and frauds or illegal callers who obey no laws.  People tend to really misunderstand how it works and generally do not understand that the DNC does not protect you from the scams,frauds,extortionists and the unscrupulous nasty's that refuse to obey laws. Charity's and political, along with some survey's are exempt from this.  Most of those will place you on the their internal DNC if asked though and there is a political DNC (it works very well too I might add) list you can sign up with.  

Complaints filed with the DNC and other agency's are used to establish a pattern, then they can take action. They do make busts, they do fine them, and they do make arrests. You also need to realize that some of these bad actors are located in foreign country's and then their government has to work with ours. Slow it may be, but it does happen!

The more complaints filed, the more info they have to go on!

Recorded message that sounds like its an actual person until she doesn't respond. Spiel is about medical alerts and $3,000 worth of groceries. Obvious scam. Caller ID showed CTY.

Just got a call from them. I recognized the number and didn't answer.  They hung up without leaving a message.
