i have recieved numerous calls over the last 2 weeks and when he calls he asks for my husband by his first name, and only once that he was from a "health clinic" but said the name so fast that i did not catch it, now today he called and claimed his name was "leroy" and asked for my husband by his first and last name again and got rude when as usual i asked what for and then told me "i did'nt need to know [***]" quote... there must be away to get these parasites to quite calling... am going to report the number to the better business bureau...

Someone has been calling my cell phone from this no.702-789-4100. when I answer they only say my first name then hang up,this has been going on for about 4months.I don't know these people and I didn't give them my no.I think they  are getting our name and phone no. some illegal way and they call your name to make sure they have the rite no. cause they plan to call back in the future from a different no. to try and sell you some product they are getting ready to put out there.and they want to make sure they have your name rite.well, I have a surprise for them when they call me again from a no. I don't reconize i will either don't answer or tell them they have the wrong no. even  if they call my name that's my answer. we have be smarter than them,and if enough people do as I do then  guess  who win you do and they will feel like a fool and look like one.

called twice today.  Asked to speak to "Michael"  I asked whose calling, said his name and was from the house center.  I asked what he wanted, he said to speak to Michael.  I asked who he was and what he wanted.  He said "I told you twice, what part of it don'r you understand?"  I hung up, he called back, asked for Michael, I said "the part I don't understand is who you or the house center are and what you want."  He said to hold on and speak to carol because I am rude.  He asked Carol if she wanted to speak to me because I am a real jerk.  I said I'm a jerk?  Your calling me and won't say who you are and I'm a jerk?  He said Carol didn't want to speak with me either because I am rude and a waste of time.

Called @ 2:07pm eastern on 11/29/10. Did not answer because I was unsure of who the caller was. Thanks to these posts, I will continue to avoid answering.

I have received 2 calls in the last two weeks. My wife answered one call and only got a man with heavy breathing..then the second call she did not answer and the message that was left says "if you want to make a call". Wierd but also kinda scary

Someone keeps calling and asking for my daughter. They sound really creepy and won't leave a message. I want it to STOP!!!

Beware: Hostile caller said he's calling about my Verizon bill. He kept cutting me off when I tried to ask what company is he from, because there are no issues with my account. He kept asking for my name, and I told him I wouldn't tell him unless he told me what company he is from. Then he hung up! It's another scam from a company pretending to be Verizon, so beware!

They called today - it said private # and when I picked up, they hung up.

The idiot called our business and, when I answered, immediately hung up.  Unfortunately, businesses aren't protected by things like Do Not Call lists so we have no recourse if this anal sphincter continues to call us.  (Reporting them to the FCC will be of no use because I've learned from years of experience that the FCC is useless when it comes to people violating the laws they're supposed to reinforce.)  Consumers who are receiving calls on their cell phones should report them to the FCC because that is most definitely a violation and maybe, just MAYBE, they'll do something about it if enough people complain.  (Probably a stern letter... so the guy will change his phone number and start all over again.)

Caller ID showed 702-789-4100, Name Blocked, even though I have a blocker in place that is supposed to block calls that are ID blocked.  Some still get through but at least it shows the (alleged) phone number though, unfortunately, the phone number is often spoofed when it's VOIP or a scam, or both.

Call to Newton Child Care Fund, Inc.-something about Verizon, and 'One Touch'. When I questioned whether if he was from Verizon, I asked for my account number. He then said  'Are you even listening to me, sir'? I then said that's it and hung up (I don't have time to play his games).

He then called back within a minute and I did not pick up.

We get a call from this number every day. When we answer, they just hang up. No idea who it is as nobody has ever answered. comes up on the caller ID as 702-789-4100.

Received several calls from this 702 789-4100 number.   I'm not interested in your telemarketing.

Getting calls Daily from this number. No answer when I say hello. I am on do not call list. Do I have any recourse?
