phuksticks have been calling my cell all day - just received the 8th call today - Precision Opinions - I told the woman I was not interested and I would like to be put on their Do Not Call list.  She was very rude and said the do not call list does not apply to them; I then mentioned the I do realize this, I am asking to be put on the company's do not call list because I do not want to be bothered with opinion calls - she then retorted that they do not have a list and hung up.

And we wonder why people have such a low opinion of these maggots.

I checked out Precision Opinion Market Research with WOT (a respected safe browsing tool). WOT told me their website is actually safe. And since Precision Opinion already has my phone number, I took a chance and used the remove tool. I can always use call blocking later.

Called at 6:43pm.  I picked up the telephone and said nothing.  Went to beep.

I called the number and there was a message identifying them as Precision Opinion and that the DNC does not pertain to them.  Went to their website and there is a request to remove your telephone number.  I did it and fingers are crossed.  Hope this helps. Appears she does not know or just being rude.  (I go with being rude).

Truth in Caller ID Act of 2009

The Truth in Caller ID Act of 2009, which was signed into law Dec. 22, 2010, prohibits caller ID spoofing for the purposes of defrauding or otherwise causing harm. In June 2010, the Federal Communications Commission adopted rules implementing the Truth in Caller ID Act.
FCC Rules

   Prohibit any person or entity from transmitting misleading or inaccurate caller ID information with the intent to defraud, cause harm, or wrongfully obtain anything of value.
   Subject violators to a penalty of up to $10,000 for each violation of the rules.
   Exempt authorized activities by law enforcement agencies and situations where courts have authorized caller ID manipulation to occur.

Tips for Consumers

   Don’t give out personal information in response to an incoming call. Identity thieves are clever – they often pose as representatives of banks, credit card companies, creditors, or government agencies to get people to reveal their account numbers, Social Security numbers, mother’s maiden names, passwords and other identifying information.

   If you get an inquiry from a company or government agency seeking personal information, don’t provide it. Instead, hang up and call the phone number on your account statement, in the phone book, or on the company’s or government agency’s website to find out if the entity that supposedly called you actually needs the requested information from you.
   Please let the FCC know about ID spoofers by calling 1-888-CALL-FCC or filing a complaint at www.fcc.gov/complaints.

Annoying. Calls once a day, doesn't leave messages and it's always a dumb machine telling me to "please hold"

The remove tool did not work -- two days later, and they've called every half hour this evening. I will block this number.

Another new number for me. And it has been calling people since July? Wow, how did it take so long to bug me!? Another one to block!

I have received a call from this number too but I was not home.

However, I would like for Colorado citizens to know that if you are on a do not call list and you receive calls anyway in the hoax of being a poling number.. it is against Colorado law.  Each call is $100.00 which you can collect through small claims court.  Make a record of these calls, each and every one, there is a form out on the Colorado Secretary of State website.  If you are a senior these callers can be turned into the Secretary's office.. the form is also on the website.  They do something about these calls.  I did have one that called me even 2 to 3 a day.  I haven't heard from them since I filed the form.  We need to utilize the small claims court for the $100.00 each time.  So, if those people call me.  I am waiting to get money.

Despite being on the Do Not Call list, I have gotten three calls in the past two days from this number.  It comes through as "Las Vegas, NV" on my caller ID.  My voicemail greeting advises all callers that my number is on the do not call list and does not accept telemarketing or survey calls.  Nevertheless, they continue to call.

Unfortunately, your answering machine message won't work.  The call is being made by a robodialer.  It waits to see if someone answers and then alerts some person at the "survey company" to pick up and try to talk to you after several seconds.  Your answering machine is just talking to a dialing machine who isn't listening. :(

They calling my home two and three time a day, no message.

I'm on both state and federal do not call and these fools keep calling and I keep reporting. They must be BIG donors , because they have not stopped.

They called everyday including weekends. They called me at 9pm . When I asked them do they know what time it is, the Mexican guy name Jose Ruiz said he doesn't know. WTF! I cursed him out, went on line and blocked them. That's what you got by having criminal Mexican randomly calling people Kate at night

Enjoy your cookies and tracking malware...maybe. By going the way of "the tool" you have really exposed your system to hacks. Well, you gave them a handshake and carte blanche to deep parts of your system.
