Number called my wife alleging she had placed an order on Amazon for $1,200 and wanted to confirm the order. Neither my wife nor myself have placed any orders on Amazon within the past week. We checked all of our accounts, and nothing. Several months ago, we went through an issue with someone accessing our Amazon account. We changed all of our passwords, set our account to require confirmation by code before anything can be done, and had all of our cards replaced with new numbers. Reporting it to Amazon directly would only result in our being locked out of our Amazon account for weeks, so we thought letting people know here would be more beneficial.
