got call from "mark" saying he was from Argon Collection Agency-later found out it was Aargon-call your local consumer Protection office and see if they are licensed in your state.  in Hawaii, they have a PC whatever that is, and his name is Daniel Robinson, 41-1789 Kalanianaole Hwy, Waimanalo, HI 96795. Mark said that their office is on Waialae, above Longs-

this is a collection agency. tryn to collect on a lease I broke w a condo community in Vegas. I paid off the balance w the condo community. these ppl are full of sh**.

Got another call/hangup from this number on 10/7/2008 at 11:39 a.m.  If this is the number for a collection agency dealing in student loans, they really have the wrong number in calling me because I've never had a student loan.

Hey I really want to know if this company is calling you over student loans. I dont have any debts except student loans. They are not listed as a collector for federal student loans. But I could be wrong. As far as I know they only collect medical debts. If not please enlighten me. I will sue these jerks if they are not a student loan collector. I know how and I will win. Believe that!

Prove your bills before asking us to pay for them. That means doing it in writing. You stupid collector!

This [***] CA called Aragon Collection Agency or Aragon Agency Inc. is a debt collector located in Las Vegas NV. See prior posts for address, phone and fax numbers. According to webcasts from LV TV stations this company is a relentless collector for the University Medical Center in LV. But they call people like me who have never been to LV and have no medical debts. So I wonder, what else do they try to collect on?

Furthermore they call me on my cellphone. They leave hangup voicemails even tho I have programmed my phone to ignore their calls. It doesnt ring but I still get their hangup VMs. That is crap.

The TCPA bans calling a cell by anyone without a prior business relationship with the callee. That includes collectors who can only call your cell if you gave it to the original creditor. If you didnt they are violating the TCPA and can be fined $500 PER CALL. 50 calls in the last six months. That means I can sue for $25,000. And so can you. Do it! Contact an NACA atty and make some money off these scumbags...at least until they file Bankruptcy!

702-853-1710 Call the BBB and they can not stop these calls.  It is the Aagon Collection Angency from Las Vegas, NV.  They will not answer there phone and state that the mailbox is FULL.  Go figure...

I keep getting calls from 702-853-1710 and I've tried to get a voice when I pick up to tell them to STOP, STOP, STOP calling me.....I have no idea who they are but I want them STOPPED>

You are awesome !!!!! Thank-you for providing this needed information. I used to be a collector for a Credit card company but I was NEVER rude to anyone or mean. That is uncalled for and it must stop. The only problem is that folks don't know HOW to fight back! :~) Thanks again, if they call again I will tell them that the statue of limitations is up for collection on this past debt (6 years max after last activity) and that according to FDCPA rules and regulations they cannot continue to call and harass me. Thank you again!

The only problem is that "last activity" is so loosely defined..   When one collection agency purchases a debt from either a creditor or another collection agency, the clock is reset, so the statute of limitations is never reached.  This is what's going on, and it doesn't sound legal, but they do it anyways.  I have stuff on my credit report from two decades ago that even after disputes still persist.  Credit ratings sure aren't what they used to be, but then neither is anything else it seems.

I kind of agree, although it seems really silly. I occasionally get phone calls looking for people with improbable names like "Archibald Velasquez". When I tell them this person doesn't exist, they ask "Well, who am I speaking with?" I reply: "I'm obviously not the person you are looking for, so what does it matter?" This always seems to disappoint them and they angrily hang up on me.

They are a medical collection agency. They are usually calling in regards to some sort of hospital procedures.

I have been receiving calls several times a day from ACA.  It says that it is important that I call back.  If it was so important a "real" person should be calling me not a recorded message!!  I have no reason to be receiving a call from a collection agency.  I have reported it to the Do not call registry and I am trying to block the number.  Any more info would be appreciated.

he states, he is a lawyer from Argon. I checked with the State Bar of Nevada. NOT listed. I have sent a formal request to the Bar for information on Mr. Black. I will up date on
what I receive back.
