One call from 702-992-8611 no message, no clue from who

The number showed up on my caller ID when my son called from a Boy Scout Camp in the Sequoia Natl Forest (California). Imagine my worry when I saw the 702 area code! So glad I found this site and that there is a good explanation. He probably used someone's calling card.

The calls that you receive from this telephone number could have come from a pay phone located anywhere in the United States.  That's right, you might get a call from a pay phone located anywhere in the United States and it would show only this number on the caller ID, a number that is supposedly located in Las Vegas, NV!!!  The reason for this is because Pacific Telemanagement Services (PTS) has bought almost all of the pay phones in the United States. They have also programmed ALL of their pay phones to "spoof" the caller ID information to show the (702) 992-9550 Las Vegas number!  You  may ask why did PTS do this? That's an excellent question.  One question that I have for anyone who is reading this is if you have ever accepted a collect call from this number.  If you have, was the caller calling from a PTS phone located in your city (other than Las Vegas or Henderson, NV) and were you billed for a call from Las Vegas?

I receive calls at work, which I never pick up.
Instead of leaving a message, I can hear a woman speaking in the background.
She never identifies herself or what she wants.
Almost every day at 8:40 am
Such a bother and a complete waste of time.

I got a call from my girlfriend.  I tried to call her back but I got a recording about an email for law enforcement.  This girl is mentally ill (for real) and I need to get back to her.  I sent an email that I will prosecute them if I can;t reach her.  I have heard nothing from them.  She is in trouble and needs help.  Who can I appeal to?

Called 3 times so far today.

Pay phone in jail

I received a call this morning from this number and the heard only a few words due to the connection being so poor - I recognized the voice as my husbands, who is on the road but also on the run.  Does anyone know for sure if this is a jail payphone or not.

At 8:27am i received a call from 702 9929550.  

Received a call from this # on a Sunday night around 11:29 p.m. I couldn't understand the person, sounded like they were whispering "85" very strange call.

This is a payphone.  A relative was traveling and his cell phone battery was dead. He called me from a payphone.

today I have a call from this line, so I want to know this Cell phone owner.

a person I know is receiving call horrible messages from this number and it's not the first time this has happened with the same person but with a different number. I did some investigating and tracked this person's call origins to Phoenix AZ witch makes perfect sense. In my opinion, Coustom Teleconn just made impossible to trace calls. this is truly upsetting.


TIP--> 1.Make a fake Google Profile. 2. go too http://www.truecaller.com and log in with the fake Google account 3.type in the number that is calling you 3. cross reference with http://www.everify.com 4. cross reference with name or phone number with http://www.whitepages.com/  you should get closer.

Someone answered a pay phone in Eastvale, CA. Sometimes Nevada?????probably a floating number.

My daughter was at a church camp in the mountains. Used the payphone to call and tell me she was doing good. No cell service in area. Number showed Las Vegas, NV...but she was in Sonora Ca.

I got a call from this number and it's my boyfriend from a jail facility. So it's not all scammers.  Js

Call from 702-992-9550  Customer Telecom it read.  Just kept using the [***] word to me. I hung up.

Yes, I can confirm its a payphone. There are so few payphones anymore...it was very difficult finding one to call home to today.
