I received a call from a Ben today with the exact same line.  He seems lonely.  Maybe I'll call him later and see if he needs a friend..

An update to my reaching out to be Ben's friend.  Ben called me yesterday afternoon and proceeded to yell at me.  I hung up and informed him via text to back off.  The next two and a half hours were an amusing back and forth between us, with him losing all control and then telling me that he is denying my request to have my number removed and then "what are you going to do about it?".  After informing him about how the law works, the messages stopped.  The best part was that he wasted all that time while I enjoyed dinner with some friends.  Maybe I should have invited him...

He used my name and asked me how I was doing as if we knew each other. he then introduced himself and asked if I could talk for a minute...I said I'm actually busy right now and he said ok well can you step away for a second...that was obviously very odd...he asked if i had a job and doing what, i responded "serving"...asked if i wanted to make extra money before i went to school, i said "i'm ok with my job thanks"...also asked if it was local or out of state...i accidentally told him the area of where i'll be going, even though i knew i shouldn't. i didn't tell him the school or anything else besides what i do for my job, but i'm wondering if i'm in any danger of anything? please help!

I called the number back and left a message for this “Ben Johnson” telling him to remove my phone number from his call list permanently. I also told him that I was recording the message I was leaving. Hope that works!!!

Just got a call from Ben Johnson. Felt it was a scam and here I am reading all over your posts.. A little scary but I know now that Google is great..

Thankful I found this page. I received a call from this number, let it go to my voicemail as I did not know the number. Well, the same thing "We've not had a chance to meet" blah blah. The thing that caught my attention was that he did not mention the name of the company. I thought, well how odd, who calls a potential employee to discuss employment, but yet does not leave the name of the company? I will not be returning his call.

I spoke with him.  He's a real nice guy.  Most people are nice if you can carry a civilized conversation.  It's funny that all of you are so quick to judge about what's legit or not through a message board.

Oh yeah, most companies use scripts.

Ben left a message for me as well, but reading all these stuff... I called and left a message for him not to call me back again.

Did anyone call back to cancel their interview?? I got the same kind of call from Matt Peters.

Got a call from him about 6 months back, researched the building he was talking about in Herndon, supposedly where the office is located DOES NOT EXIST. There is a bunch of banks and small offices around there he would not give me a direct address. Not sure how he got my phone number but he called me back after 6 months, and wanted to "follow up", he seems legit but I know that the company he is referring to does not exist. Obviously a scam!

Just got a voicemail from "Ben".  After reading all this, looks like I'm not calling him back.

Add me to the list... Ben called me first a few days ago wanting to offer me a managerial position. The only thing I could think of was that he got my phone number from Linkedin which is why I just removed it. Since the position was not in my line of work I had no interest in leaving my current job but he kept pushing and I told him I would do some research on his company and call him back. I forgot all about it until he called back yesterday but I was in the middle of something and told him I would call him later. Just sat down to do some digging on the company and googled his phone number and saw this posting. Thanks for the heads up.... glad I went with my gut!

Here it is 9/2012 and this idiot is still calling people.  I would say it is MONSTER.COM although I don't recall giving my phone number to them it sure is possible.  I dont answer unknown phone calls and have turned the recorder off due to psycho's calling here along with the cable companies and other sales calls and the bells are off too.  Out going calls only!
