I just received a phone call from this number, I answered and know one responded. So I hung up. I called it back and a voice prompt came on saying "Yu've reached a non working number for Navy Federal Credit Union" and hung up

    Major Annoying
Called me at 1245 PM and 500 PM.  I have never done any business with NFCU, although I must say that I'm tired of hearing their annoying ads on the radio.

Had several missed/avoided calls from telephone number (703) 272-2013 on my cell phone. I answered when they called my desk at work. Caller ID showed Navy Federal Credit Union. He said he was with collections department calling for payment on one of my two CC's with them. I said I was current, rarely miss a payment and that I would stop by a branch on the way home from work. He stated, "why do that when I can set up a transfer/payment right now" and asked to confirm my checking and routing number for a deleted but formerly linked account from another financial institution.... that made me suspicious and I hung up. I called Navy Fed directly at (888) 842-6328, spoke to a customer service rep and she confirmed that is a LEGIT NFCU number and that is was from collections department and that in fact I am 33 days past due on one of my credit cards. I told her I would stop by a local branch on the way home and square it away.

I appreciate the info, because I get hang ups. If it is Navy Federal re mobile banking, then it is a scam. I don't belong to that credit union.

This is NFCU. I am working with NFCU on a loan and this is a good number. It appears to be a switchboard number for outgoing calls from NFCU so it could be from varying departments. Although the caller did not leave a message, they did contact via email immediately after.

They call but never leave a message.  Given the history of the number......not good.

This is a good number from Navy FCU.  This is one of their generic outgoing numbers, so it could be from any Navy Federal department.  For me it was from their member service department, confirming a deposit I sent them.

I called the number and its asks you to identify yourself by either 1 your access number, 2 your SSN, or 3 your loan id number so it is a valid NFCU number, how they got your number I have no idea, but it you wait on the line and dont press any buttons it will transfer you to a representative and there you can ask why they are calling you, they might have your phone number on someone elses account by mistake. But I would certainly call and just wait for a rep!!

On another note they have called me to confirm that I approved some transactions on my credit card, so this is why I say they might have your number on a different account, and they are trying to approve transactions, but again I WOULD CALL!!

It's a valid NFCU number. I just had a new account setup recently and they called from this number to ask if I needed anything else.

They called me and left no message.   I called NFCU main number and it was them that called me. My call was legit but remember these calls can be spoofed. My opinion is, don't trust anyone!  Always call them at a number you know is good.

I've gotten two voicemails from this number asking for someone else, claiming to be the Navy Federal Credit Union. Rather than call back ( a scammer is not going to admit to being a scammer when you call back), I went to the NFCU webset contact page: https://www.navyfederal.org/contact-us/phone-numbers.php Almost all the numbers are 1-888 numbers. None of the four 703 numbers are 703-272-2013.... (703 is apparently a local Washington D.C. area code) So it is definitely suspicious.

This number is from Navy Federal Credit Union.  I had my online banking account attempted to be hacked and they were contacting me to a) let me know it happened and b) set up my new accounts.

For those thinking I was just scammed please note that I had been getting calls from this number several times a day for almost a week on my cell phone.  I never answered it as it was a number I didn't know.  On Friday I went to log into my bank account (payday) and was locked out due to too many failed log-in attempts.  That was weird to me because both my phone and computer have my log-in info saved.  So I contacted NFCU calling their 800 number which I got from their website.  I was told that number is their main switchboard number (their headquarters are in Merrifield VA) and it was the fraud and security department trying to call me to let me know about the attempted hack.

This number has attempted to call me over the last several days.  I do not answer and no message is left.  From reading the posts on this number, if the caller is claiming to be Navy Federal CU, the call is a scam as I have never had accounts with Navy Federal CU.

This is Navy Federal calling to complain about a past-due credit card bill that's not actually past due. But good luck getting them to take any accountability to fix their awful billing system.

It's from NFCU credit fraud. Automatic call when you report fraud then charge something to verify new charges.

This is Navy Federdal. Didn't answer, called back, got pre-recorded "...non working Navy Federal number". Called NFCU number I use, got through to fraud, found out that it was a legit call concerning my business account.
