claims to be related to IRS

Claims to "be" the IRS.  2 hours to make a payment to them via "gift cards" or the police will be over to haul you off to jail.  Very elaborate scheme to keep you on the phone....

They left a message: "there is a warrant out for my arrest"...these phony IRS people are really getting aggressive.

Same here,some guy who garbles his name says the IRS has filed a warrant for my arrest due to tax fraud, call this number and they will 'advise' me..lol...you can hear the phone banks in the background, its a boiler room scam of some type.

Definite phone scam. Got a similar voice mail, about a warrant. Huh? These guys should be shut down.

Sick of these calls.   Garbled message - telling me there is a warrent for my arrest.
This needs to stop.   I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST.

Same as all of the above.  How stupid are they, the IRS will always mail you first before any calls are done.  Can't somebody catch them and throw these people in jail?

US authorities have no jurisdiction over actions that take place in foreign countries without the cooperation of the governments involved. Perhaps it is time for Congress to cut off Foreign Aid to the countries these scams originate in until their governments put a stop to it.

703-459-9070 Told the crappy asian voice (Tom White?) that I was busy at lunch and he called me back. When I finally took his call he threatened me that I knowingly defrauded the goverement on my 2008-2012 taxes and that I would be arrested later that afternoon. I told him if this was legit that my CPA would be in contact with them. Then I laughed and hung up on his mung tooth [***] [***] voice. I know the IRS sends [***] in the mail as my live-in GF has had them riding her [***] for at least 3-4 years for tax crap. All mail and NO threatening calls. Her [***] is legit and I knew that this was a scam from the start.
