Voice mail from this number said person calling is Brian Smith of the IRS Tax Fraud Department and that a lawsuit is going to be filed today regarding tax fraud under "your name and social security number".  An arrest warrant will be issued if you do not take care of this.  Please call 703-459-9910.  Caller's voice had an accent, maybe India.  Obviously a scam call.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

I received that exact type of call as well from 703-634-0289.  VM stated it was officer Jason Miller.  Called the number back same voice but now are name is Mark Lopez with IRS fraud dept.   definitely scam call.

Exact same message.  I called them back and gave them a piece of my mind saying that the IRS does not call people on the phone.  A certified letter would be sent to me if there was a problem.  Of course, they hung up as soon as they knew I was on to them.  I am so angry.  Just imagine the dumb people out there who have just been scared to death by calls like this.  Plus, I could only understand about every 5th word he said.  Scum scammers!

Fran Jefferson from IRS tax audit department called claiming he has received a lawsuit regarding tax fraud to be filed in federal court.  5 criminal allegations against me are being filed.

Same story as Alisa: Officer Jason Miller (THICK ACCENT) saying to have my attorney call - if I don't, he wishes me the best of luck in court.  How kind of him.  First tip-off: voicemail started mid-sentence, it must be an automated message that starts playing as soon as the call goes to voicemail.  Call came from 703-634-0289 (VA number).

I hate this kind of crap.  Actually had me a bit scared for a sec - glad I looked up "Officer Jason" here first.
