Scam from Irs. Indian accent.

I am so tired of getting scam calls anymore . . . IRS does not contact anyone in this fashion. So if you get a call from this number, just hang up on them.

Got message on machine saying "this call is from the Criminal Investigation Division of the IRS".  caller had a very think Indian accent & the return number he left was 703-565-2353.  Caller ID said call was from Woodbridge VA.

this number has just called my cell phone and tried to ask for my grams I changed my voice acting like I was her and he says I know your not my grams name nad I said well yur not the irs and im going to report you.

I've received two phone calls from these alleged IRS criminal detectives...  I called them back and told them I was reporting them to the IRS and they hung up on me.

Alleged IRS Criminal investigators that say they have a warrent number for a $10000 tax due.  They are a bunch of heavy accent "Indians".  Fraud and Identity theft scam.

LOL Have some fun with them.  I called them and told them I was with the US Atty. Generals office and gave a badge number.  They guy kept saying (with heavy accent lol) so what you have my number who cares... lol

I just got the same call. Very thick Indian accent. Just hang up on them. They had left messages 4 times before. I told them to get a real job and quit trying to scam everyone!!!

The same voice has called numerous times before and left messages.  Today, I answered and told him that my child was abducted and I will report his number 703-565-2353 as being used to extort ransom from me.  I don't think he understood.  I hope he stops because the ringing phone really interrupts my day.

Received a call stating it was the IRS telling me they had filed a lawsuit against me because I filled out my 1040 wrong, so I said to explain what was wrong with my return, I knew it was a scam, after I asked that question they hung up, they didn't ask for my ssn# which I would never give them, so I called them back again, the same guy answered, I asked him his name and said why are you scamming people, his answer was to make money, I asked him if he knew if it was illegal, he said yes.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION ESPECIALLY YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, CREDIT CARD NUMBERS ETC.  THEY MAY KNOW YOUR NAME FROM THE PHONE BOOK.  IF ANYONE IS GOING TO FILE A LAWSUIT AGAINST YOU, YOU WILL BE SERVED A LEGAL SUMMONS BY A PROCESSOR, NOT BY A PHONE CALL, ESPECIALLY BY FOREIGNERS THAT BARELY SPEAK ENGLISH.

Got a call from them said they are internal revenue service Meaning the IRS no kidding  I think they got Have to work on their sales pitch little better to make us believe that their the irs  if it doesn't come in the mail you're not in trouble

You get a call from this number don't hand out any info. This is a scam.
In the first place why would IRS call you and not your spouse? We filed jointly.
About 6 months ago I had this happen to me and they shook me up so bad that I almost had a nervous breakdown. But I really thought I was gonna go to jail.
I turned it in to State Police and they told me it was a scam. They called number but got no answer. I was told to ignore it.
So 6 months passed nothing and now it's starting up again. I also learned don't give money out to get money. If you get this call turn it in I did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just had a message from this number. That I had a matter to take care of. To call back.  Did not call back. Scam

I got a call from this number. A man with a heavy Indian accent left a message stating that he was fro the IRS.

Total scam.  Originates in either India or Pakistan.

IRS does not file lawsuits.   Court action, if any is handled by the DOJ and all parties are entitled to legal assistance if it is a criminal matter.  But--tax disputes are for the most part civil matters.  90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively.  IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. Local law is never involved in IRS tax disputes. IRS has no powers of arrest.    If LE is necessary, US Marshals do the job.  IRS does not cold call anyone and ask for money. IRS does not accept Green card money paks for payment in any case.  No one is prosecuted for ordinary tax disputes. IRS has absolutely no authority over anyone's professional license. Professional licensing is handled by state governments.  Yes, levies on property to satisfy an existing tax obligation do occur, but only after a very long period of negotiation. And yes, liens are placed on individuals but  usually after a lot of negotiation and a failure to reach a settlement.    All determinations of tax liability are subject to appeals.  All  contacts by the IRS are initiated by US mail.

I recieved the same call with a message on my answering service. I thought how are phone company has also warned us of someone leaving messages for you to call back and when you call back you are charged for the call, big time.

I got one yesterday . Scam don't reply !
