Looks like a preemptive shill to me also. Might have just given us a heads up that they are going to start using this number again - things that make you go hmm.

Not really, I called back the Medicare provider to get info from them just to show you here, they gave me this website www.greenvalleydme.com
The Senior Care Awareness Program is a telemarketing call center apparently but not a scam, they didn't even ask me for any info that could be used for a scam, like a credit card number or bank account or anything

Just got a call from them asking if I had back pain (yes) and would like a back brace?  Asked if I had Medicare A, B and a supplement (BCBS).  Said I could have it for free - Medicare would pay for it.  I asked why she would be giving it instead of my doctor.  Don't you want a back brace(comes small, med. large) to help with your pain?  Then I asked for her company's phone number.  Didn't have it, said it was a call center. I asked if there were other companies that had back braces but she didn't know.  She gave me the web site I could look up the information:  www.greenvalleydme.com.

Don't know if it was a scam but why are they becoming my "doctor" for Medicare.  Let my doctor decide if I need a back brace and eliminate Medicare probably giving away hundreds of un-needed back braces.

These calls are mostly a known scam operation. Usually the callers are overseas - Egypt, India, Pakistan. They are not your Dr, they do not replace your Dr. and your Dr would have given you a heads up if you needed to have one face to face.

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

Foreign Shills are a PEST! Foreign Tele-maggots are even worse. They get around the DNCR by running their SCAMS from outside the US. They think they're smart. They're not. When a Shill from a foreign country shows up here, the game is ending. People aren't falling for the scams & the fools running them know that part of their problems is due to sites like this one. The other parts have to do with consumer awareness & the fact that the idiots running these scams haven't got the brains that God granted goats. The imbeciles making the calls make goats look brilliant in comparison.
DO NOT answer these calls. Block them if you can.

     Be Safe. Be Aware.

I got a call from these Senior Care Awareness people, at first I thought it was a scam sales call because of the New Jersey area code even though I live in Washington. But I actually found out that all they do is that they ask a few questions to see if you're eligible to get some medical products from your insurance. Then they transfer your call to some Medicare provider (I think the name is Green Valley or something)
Anyway they actually did help me with a back brace for my back pain and I didn't pay a dime for it (since I have mediacre and a supplement with Blue Cross Blue Sheild)
They'd tell you that it's "at no cost to you" but you would actually pay 20% of the cost of any product if you don't have a supplement besides Medicare. Also it does sound like a big call center with all the background noise that I heard there, but I got something that helps with my back pain and I have them to thank for that.

Called this a.m.  Said since I am on Medicare, I am eligible for medication and devices from them.  Refused and requested to be placed on DO NOT CALL list.  My doctor said they have seen some of their braces and things and they are JUNK.
