Moron with Asian accent claiming that there is a " non-bailable warrant"( too funny) from the IRS on my name. No mention of the name. Call them back at this number....so they can find out what your name is and find out what your SS# is. How stupid to leave a message like this.

Left a message threatening that a warrant is out for our arrest and to call this number back immediately.

Toll call (I'm in Arcadia CA) so I used an outgoing land line that gives my firm a lower national rate... I asserted his parents would be mortified if they knew what this fellow I was talking to was doing to try to earn a living. He seemed to be weak in his knowledge of English and welcomed the criticism. If I wasn't a CPA working on 04/08/15, I would have enjoyed chatting with this person a little longer. Well... Back to work.

My 2nd report here on the same scam.   An East Indian voice left me an ominous, cut-off, scripted message saying that a lawsuit for Tax Fraud has been filed against my social security number and that a warrant for my arrest has been issued.  They also left an IDENTICAL message a few days earlier but with call back # 559-328-2373.  One number was CA and the other number for VA -- landlines both of them, clearly in a telemarketing environment.  BEWARE !

There is a widespread IRS (or CRA) or "tax scam" being  practiced by scammers on both USA and Canadian residents.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

Got the Indian caller with the "IRS fraud notification" for the "unbailable arrest warrant". Wife called me at work when she got the message. Thankfully she called me first. Note do not use your name on your voicemail message to prevent these "people" from getting your real name(s).
Indian Troll. This could be a problem for people who do not understand the legal system in this country. I hope the Karma wheel runs them over...or a large bus would work too.

So that word was "bailable", Thanks I could not understand that on my call.  Supposedly being sued for Tax Fraud and that an arrest warrant is being issued at a "Federal Claim Courthouse."  Next day, received same "info" but new number, new caller, new accent, from 703-457-8133

Forgot to add - my second call also let me know that they (the IRS - so government identify fraud here) had sent out 2 letters but they had been returned undelivered.

voice mail recorded robocall midstream stating, Tax Fraud lawsuit has been filed against my social security number TODAY in Federal Court and that a Warrant for my imminent arrest has been issued.  Need to call 703.637.2211 to get further information on the case.
